I love my silver-color Apple Watch, in a world where seemingly some 80% of Apple Watch wearers chose the black one. But after a while I realized with certain bands, a black watch would look even better. That's why I looked for and ended up with this black case. Now that I'm a decades-long Amazon shopper, I know how to research a product before buying one, so that I can reduce the chance of buying the wrong one and having to return it as much as possible.First, I didn't want a case with a built-in glass protector, as EVERY single one of them had reviews saying water would get under the glass, lowering the screen touch sensitivity. That makes one have to press whatever they meant to touch on the screen MULTIPLE times to get to what they want. I wanted no part of that. So I wanted a case with NO glass protector. As it is, I guess I am not one of those clumsy types or in certain professions where the chance of damaging the screen is very high. I've had an Apple Watch for years and there isn't a single scratch on the screen. So no need for a glass protector.Second, when I looked at reviews of certain other glass-less cases, including a top-selling one that is a 4-pack for the same price as a single one of these, some reviews said the paint started coming off after a while. I saw no such complaints with this one. So I put in the order for this one, although a part of me said $10 for a small piece of molded plastic may be a little too much. I bet the Chinese manufacturing cost of this is 25 cents or less.But now that I've received it and tried it, I am VERY happy with the purchase. As far as I can see, this is made of solid black plastic, meaning the color was not painted on. Therefore there is no chance of the color coming off. I can't speak for other colors of this same case as to whether the color is painted on or not.And I didn't want a TPU case, for its tendency to turn yellow after a while, not to mention the fact that due to its nature it HAS to be thicker than a hard PC case. I wanted a thin, hard plastic one whose color doesn't come off after some usage, and I got EXACTLY what I wanted.As for those who say it broke or pops off the watch easily, a piece of advice - there is a very SPECIFIC way to install and remove a hard PC case from your watch. You want to put the case first on the side of the watch with the dial. And then push the case down on the other side. And to remove it, push it UP from the dial-less side first. If you do it the OTHER way, you're just asking to stretch the case so that it pops off easily, or break the very narrow plastic by the hole for the dial.

I love this case/cover for my watch. I never take it off.

This color is great! Not super yellow gold. A nice matte gold. Only issue is when I hit things it’s popped off a few times. I would buy it again though based on looks..over other options I have seen.

Was not the color I was expecting. Was thinking it was more gold.

The item is very pretty and did not break or scratch coming out of the box as others have described. I missed the part in the description that it did not have a screen protector which is what I wanted but I will probably wear it anyway on special occasions when I want to dress up my watch.
