Relaxing Tibetan Meditation OM Mani Padme Hum Peace Singing Bowl With Mallet

Has not used it yet but am happy with the quality. Wish it has come with some instruction. I need to google it or watch youtube to see how I can get into it before I read my tarots I have watched on youtube. You don't have to use this for reading cards, but I would like to try it.

This item did not seem new. The wooden mallet had clearly been used. The ink on the bowl was outside the designated design pattern. The bowl was stuffed in a box that buldged due to how it was packed. The little cushion looks somewhat dirty/used. Not pleased as I thought I was getting a new item.

While I did not receive the red bowl pictured, I received a black one instead, it is a charming little bowl. I had seen these before and sampled many at shops but did not want my first bowl to be too high quality because I wasn't sure how much I would use it. The maul was cut a bit rough and had to be smoothed with fine sand paper before the bowl would sing. Before sanding the maul, it was creating a scratchy pinging sound. After sanding, it was sounding much smoother. I never realized how loud these can get either. The painting on the bowl itself is a little bit sloppy but I think it adds charm. I did receive a pillow with the bowl that was not included in the picture which in my opinion makes up for the color being different than I expected. I paid less than $25 which I believe was a bargain for what I received. Over all, for a first bowl, it's a very nice instrument.

I bought two of these singing bowls on two separate occasions and got different ones! Actually I bought the first one, used it as part of my meditation practice, and my husband liked it so much he wanted one, too.So I came back and ordered a second bowl and was surprised when I opened the package and found a slightly different bowl (smaller, brighter, and different striker). Turns out we enjoy the second bowl even more than the first! The sound is gorgeous and so calming, and the sound lasts longer than I expected. (The first bowl was gorgeous, too, but the sound is a little "flatter" and fades faster.)Bottom line: This is a nice little bowl for a great price, but just be aware if you order that you might not actually know which one you'll get.

My wife want this red one but we got the black one.Disappointed

I got the black bowl which is fine. I write the other review and it warned that you may not get the color you ordered. I made peace with that and I kept it and use it to cleanse small items. Later I will cough up more money and get a large bowl for my malas and other items. It has good enough sound for personal use or yoga class.

Great gift for someone into meditation or Buddhism. I'm sure it's not the highest quality out there but for a mini bowl that can go on ones desk or table/shrine it looks great and sounds decent.
