my order was supposed to take about 15 days to arrive, but it arrived in 2.5 days. The amazon box was very beat up when it arrived, but the packing for the candle was in okay shape and it did work. I bought this to replace some very old & cheap LED candles. I really like them and don't regret getting them. They look great on my fire place mantle and when the house lights are low, or if you're on the far side of the room they look very realistic. They put a good amount of "candle" light out, they are silent, the moving wick adds a nice effect which again looks very real when far away or not looking directly at them. The overall color of the light looks convincing, although it sounds like the Luminara version of these candles has a more realistic candle colour. But for what these cost compared to the Luminara candles it doesnt bother me at all. The body of the candle is plastic, with a fine texture that simulates wax and it looks good and not cheap. The battery compartment is a little cheap and difficult to open, but if youre careful and gentle it works just fine. I like them and as an alternate to the Luminara they are totally worth the money!

I first bought this candle in Nov 2016. We put in a lantern on our enclosed porch and set the timer to go on at about 6:00 every evening. It was perfect--we didn't have to open the lantern to turn the candle on, we loved the realistic flame effect, and the plastic didn't melt in the heat. (We originally had an expensive wax-based flameless candle that didn't make it through the summer!) But now the timer doesn't work any more, though the basic on-off switch still does, so the candle is usable elsewhere. Maybe two years is all we can expect? I liked it enough that I just ordered a new one.

I purchased this in March 2016 and I have it installed in a Eternity Candle holder (see pic) located in a cematery and it's been running every night in auto-mode since March 5th 2016, this Eternity Candle holder is water resistant, I sealed all the vents with ductseal and the battery usage is 3 months at 5 or 6 hours a night (don't remember off hand what the run-time is) 7 nights a week using off the shelf batteries if you use rechargeable batteries like I do you get 6 to 8 weeksI have this outdoors with my son, it looks really good, the photo doesn't do it justiceI had to take the outer shell off the candle for it to fit inside this holder so once you do that you void the warrantyI only recommend doing this if you are comfortable with losing the warrantyI am very happy with this long lasting LED candleUPDATE: July 11th 2018, this candle is still working perfectly 7 nights a week in auto mode, I purchased 2-D rechargable batteries and I get 2 to 3 months out of them, it depends how cold or got it is, again I am more than happy with this purchaseUPDATE: September 4th 2020, Candle is going strong, still using the rechargeable batteries which gives me up to 45 nights of candlepower, which I use in timer mode

I like the candle. I ordered two. One came with batteries, one didn't. I discovered the one that came with batteries didn't work, despite putting new batteries in, so I surmise that this was a previous return that was just shipped out to me. I am returning, and wrote DEFECTIVE on the package so that a future customer doesn't have to open the package to know that they are receiving a previously returned unworking item. I am unhappy with this experience, but not the WORKING candle, which is why I only gave two stars. I will update if customer service proves to be excellent at rectifying this issue (like not having to pay return shipping! and receiving a working candle with no further problems. UPDATE: Excellent response from company to address my complaint, sent replacement candle out with no issues. They are all working beautifully on my front porch!

I have an apartment with a large balcony. Out on the balcony I have four lanterns. Last year, I bought wax flameless candles for the lanterns. They looked good, but after they were out there for a while in the summer sun, they melted. So this year I searched for waxless replacements, and I found these. They shouldn't melt like the old ones. They also look good. The way they simulate a real burning wick is quite clever. Some other brands use more complex technology and don't get as good of a result. The built-in timer is a bonus that makes them even better for me. With the old candles, I had to turn them on and off manually every time I want to use them. The timer on these new ones lets me set it once then have them on every night. (I have rechargeable batteries in them, so it's no big deal when the batteries run down.) Assuming these make it through to the end of the summer still working well and looking good, I plan to purchase another few so I have them as backups for when the originals finally break.

This candle is much better than the Luminara candle. It looks great, and is unscented. The smell of the Luminara candle is overpowering and immediately triggered an asthma attack. I had to put it outside which caused the wax to crack. We returned the Luminara and bought this candle online. It looks very real even though it does not have a wax finish. And it won't ever crack if we leave it on our porch overnight. The flame movement is extremely realistic and I absolutely love that it has no scent. The only con is the flame makes a very slight tink sound occasionally as it flickers about. This is only noticeable when the room is completely silent and I am sitting very close to the candle. The Luminara might have done this, too. I never had a chance to turn it on. One really nifty feature of this candle is the timer. In timer mode the candle burns for 5 hours, turns itself off for 19 hours, then automatically turns back on for 5 hours. It keeps going through this cycle until it is switched off. How cool is that? VERY! This candle is 5 stars in my book and I will be buying more of them in the near future.
