This a very nice fishing rod. I've been bass fishing on Amistad lake with this rod and it performs great. I am very happy with my purchase. I plan to go to lake Superior and Michigan to get some salmon and trout fishing as it gets warmer outside.One issue you should be aware of... The seller's name, "FishingAndBoatingDeals - USA", doesn't really mean the location is in the USA. In fact the seller is in Australia. When you make a purchase through the Amazon, you will be charged with "shipping and handling", "estimated tax", so the rod becomes roughly $100.00 heavier. A month later you will be surprised to receive approximately $80.00 bill from FedEx for the US customs clearance. This is kind of strange, since you've paid "shipping and handling" already. My advise to the seller is to change their label to "FishingAndBoatingDeals - Australia", inform customers about possible US Customs related fees and unless they establish a warehouse in the USA, ship everything with the USPS, not with the FedEx or UPS, as they charge a lot. I needed a three piece ride because I wanted to carry these on the planes to my remote fishing locations. I did not want a long rod tube that had to be shipped his luggage. I just use two of these rods for popping in and checking in Costa Rica and they were outstanding. No trouble handling 180 pound Tarpon. The cast Jigs and poppers great. Highly recommended by me
