JET 708626CK DC-1100CK 1-1/2-Horsepower 1,100 CFM Canister Dust Collector, 115/230-Volt 1-Phase

Ordered this DC-1100CK Dust Collector System through Amazon.com. Took only 8 days to arrive from date of order. The system was delivered by UPS Ground. There were two large separate boxes that were unloaded and left by my garage door. All items were extremely well packaged and there were no damaged parts. Assembly of the entire unit took about 1 1/2 hours with no interruptions. The assembly instructions provided by Jet are excellent. The canister filter system is state-of-the-art all the way. Simply amazing at how efficient this system is. Absolutely no dust whatsover escapes from my table saw, band saw or radial arm saw when attached to the DC-1100CK system. Clear plastic collection bags are a great plus as you know when they need to be emptied or replaced. Jet even included 4 extra bags with the shipment!!! I did not have any of the leaks at the entrance port of the unit that other reviewers have noted in the past. I imagine that Jet has corrected the problem at the factory. My unit was perfect in every way. Very high quality components and great paint finish. This unit provides a huge amount of suction and is very quiet in operation. The large, high grade casters on the base of the unit make it very easy to move around my shop from tool to tool. If you are considering a dust collection system for your shop, this is definitely the one to get!!!!! Jet has a real winner here!!!! Cudos to them for a job extremely well done!!!

I just got mine delivered after waiting 3 1/2 weeks. The box was undamaged but the impeller housing is crushed. I'm very disappointed in the shipping and will have amazon send another, which will take another 3-4 weeks:(Just got the second one 11/16/06. Every thing looks good. It only took about an hour to assemble. Run great, only a small leak where it is spot welded. I will fix it with caulking. I noticed that it was shipped directly from the factory.

I have NO problem with the unit itself, the hose is ungainly and a pain to deal with because I move my unit around in a small shop.. but not really anything you can do about that other than maybe put something on top of the unit that would hold the hose up out of the way... but the real problem and something you should consider before buying is the mobility. If you are working on a polished concrete floor with no spacers cracks or gaps... then it will just be awkward pushing the unit around. The reason is because the steel frame that it all sits on may flex as much as 4" corner to corner causing it to twist out of your hands and go as it will. If you have any obstructions, cords or the above mentioned problems to movement then you can look forward to the wheel stems at the least wearing the threads off the bolts and coming lose about every 10 days or at worst just shearing off.They tried to save weight and money and keep the cost of the tool down which is great, and if you don't move your collector often it will serve you very well.. but if you were planning as I was to move it out of the way each day to make room for use of other tools, GOOD LUCK.

The system arrived in two big boxes, perfect and intact. It even came sooner than the recommended delivery date by Amazon ;) Following the manual, parts were assembled without any problems and I was collecting dust in less than an hour. It is a nice and well built system and all the parts and HW are of high grade materials and the powder-coated finish is perfect. I also did some noise measurements and it seems to fall within the specified ranges. It performs well in my shop with the 4" tubing system that I had built for it the weekend before, to connect all of my machines to it, using a bunch of blast gates. I am very happy with my purchase as it takes care of the dust problem that I was living with for months. I should have bought this as the first item though. One of the things that can be improved in the design, is the number of holes on the base plate. As they are now, once you mount the motor and the intake nozzle, seen from the vertical plane, the nozzle assembly sticks out 4"-5" from the bottom plate making the footprint of the machine slightly larger and you can not push it against the wall should you choose to have it facing the wall. I just drilled two more holes on the base plate and shifted the motor and solved the problem. Not a big deal, only my personal preference and setup.I recommend the system to anybody looking for a good and compact DC system.

It has the power you need as well as the volume. The price is really good for what you get. We did modify the fan a bit and added larger blades that fit the enclosure tighter via aluminum plates cut to fit and riveted to the current blades because we needed more vacuum psi and got it's now a monster. Highly recommended unit.

We have several of these units and use them to remove a fine dust in the 3-10 micron range. They have good vacuum draw and the pleated filter is effectively capturing the dust without plugging up.

I bought this dust collection system because it works great. I've seen it in other shops and meets all my needs. The boxes arrived undamaged, but the dust canister inside the box had a one foot by one foot by 4" dent. Getting a replacement from Amazon has been a nightmare. Next time, I buy my equipment from a local supplier, pay a few dollars more and avoid much grief!
