Newline Step-on Auto Display Digital Bathroom Scale

With scales, sometimes simple is better. Step on, see your weight, step off. Easy. No having to tap the scale first to get it to display 000. I've owned other scales with BMI indicators, and for me, all I wanted was a simple scale that gave me my weight in the morning. The Newline Step-on does just that, and appears to be very accurate. That accuracy statement is based on having my weight taken at my doctor's office on one of those scales with sliding weights, and then at home. They match.It's a very diminutive and attractive scale as well, and doesn't draw attention to itself sitting on the floor like a Health-o-Meter. In short, I think it's ideal if what you're looking to do is simply monitor your weight. The numbers are easy to read, even for my wife who has much worse sight than me. While I might have liked the numbers to have a bit more heft to them, it's really an aesthetic call since they're more than large enough. In fact, the number display mimics the overall design of the scale, which is very minimal and unobtrusive.I can't speak to durability yet as I've only had it for a month, but based on its design, I suspect that this scale will outlive me. The battery is replaceable, unlike some scales, so there is no reason it shouldn't continue to work for years.Just so you can compare this review to your circumstances, our Newline scale sits on a tile floor, no carpeting. The scale does not tip to one side or the other when you step on it because the feet, which contain the sensors, are at the edges of the glass surface and make it very stable. My weight fluctuates between 165 and 170. My wife's between 135-140. My weight shows up within two seconds.If you're looking for a simple bathroom scale that gives you your weight accurately and doesn't look like a major appliance sitting in the bathroom, the Newline Step-on Auto Display is an excellent choice.

I bought this scale because I wanted something that didn't take up a lot of space, was flat and easy to clean, blended well without standing out, and, something accurate.This scale fits the bill.First, it is glass, and it is flat, so cleaning it is simple.Second and most important is, it is accurate. I weighed myself at the doctor's office and weighed myself on this Newline Step-On scale (the same day) and both scales give the exact result.I have it on a flat, even surface (tiled bathroom floor).I did experiment: I took it into another part of the home where the floor is textured and uneven and my weight changed. But back on the bathroom floor, which is even, and the reading was exactly as it was before.Great scale, great price. Great design.

For around $20, one may not expect much out of a digital bathroom scale. However, the design and construction of this device are solid. It is an accurate scale with good looks and easy-to-use features. It was a replacement for my Taylor scale that malfunctioned after 3 years of use. If I can get the same length of time out of this scale, I would be happy. One plus about this product is it only uses one 2330? battery rather than 2.

This is a lovely scale (I mean, nice to look at), and accurate as far as I can tell. I've tested it with known weights up to about 15 pounds, not so much, but that's what I have. On the other hand, it does not vary if you step off and then step on again - a big problem I had with my last scale. So if you're looking for trends (as I am), this is very reliable.It's also compact. I store it upright behind the foot of my bed, with the "bottom" (heel) end up. The thing you have to watch out for is accidentally pushing the button that switches you between pounds and kilograms and stones(?). If you store it in the wrong orientation, you might tend to grab that button. (People who don't live in small apartments and who have space to keep this horizontal, you don't have to worry about this.)All in all, a lovely scale which serves my needs very well. I got it on sale and I couldn't be happier.

I was really disappointed with this product. I had heard it was accurate and easy to use, but that doesn't match up with my experience. The first time I stepped on it, I was surprised at the number on the scale. So I stepped off it, then stepped on to it again. The second time, the displayed weight was about 3-4 pounds lighter than what the first reading was. It didn't take us long to discover that you had to step on it several times to get what we thought was an accurate reading. The first reading was always too high, then any subsequent readings were 3-4 pounds lighter than the first. I figured it was just a glitch that I could live with.When I got pregnant, I used the scale once a week to track my pregnancy weight gain. I thought the readings were accurate until I went in for my doctors appointments each month and the weight they told me was completely different from the weight my scale displayed. So now we know that the scale is completely inaccurate now matter how many times you stand on it. We are going to be returning it as soon as we can.

I was somewhat disappointed with the scale for the following reasons, the scale is difficult to read due to display properties. The display is not lighted and the numbers displayed are in a dark(black) display are very difficult to read , the display is not held in memory long enough to see the display after weighing and stepping off the scale . The one feature I do like is the single cell lithium battery supplied with the scale.I gave it 2 stars ( don't like it) due to the difficulty reading the display. A previous scale I had, had a lighted blue display that stayed in memory when the user stepped off the scale and stayed displayed for several seconds.Would not recommend this scale even though the price is reasonable , under Twenty dollars.

Everything about the scale is good, appearance, packaging, delivery time, etc. The only problem i have is that it weighs heavy by 13lbs according to my doctor's scale and 7 pds heavy according to another scale i have at home. No real instrucyions came with it and I do not see anyway to adjust it.
