Sturdy sides, cheap hardware, wheels are nice though - better than expected if a pain to install
I got this for my cat after she broke her back. As an outdoor cat refusing to use a litter box, she could not remain outside at night - this was my solution. The bottom grate and plastic tray fit snugly in the slot the bottom grate is meant to occupy, so it is kind to her paws. The whole top hinges up, so you can easily clean inside. The panels are pre-made, sturdy, and heavy - but the screws and sockets are of cheap steel and easy to crossbreed. If your pet can work them loose consider locktite on the threads or buy some bolts and lock nuts & washers. I mentioned the panels are heavy? The cheap small hinges are affixed with just 4 tiny screws each. Either prevent the lid from flopping open fully (*so they don't tear out) or do what I plan to do and install 1 or two hydraulic door limiters. If you ask, I will post what I buy from Amazon to solve the issue. In addition, the 'locks' are cheap and can easily be thwarted by a pet. I resolved this issue with a couple rubber bands, loop one end around the bar, and stretch the other over the bolt handle. Finally, the sturdy sharp cornered metal sides were packed into the plastic round cornered tray in the shipping box. Of course the metal tore the corners of the tray. I did have some rust indication as the interior of the metal tube from which the panels are made was not painted and the item likely had condensation from being shipped overseas, but the exterior was fine. The wheels, omg. Except for the really thin nut. At the top which was hard to get a wrench on, the wheels are exceptional. These crates were made to be stacked and I bet the wheels can handle the weight of 4 of them with dogs inside, and still roll smoothly on an even surface. They are about 2" diameter, all with foot locks, and not of cheap plastic or rubber, but the material you find under top dollar tool chests. They are mounted via a single threaded post thru a welded nut on the bottom of the cage at each corner.

Keep my escape artist in!
I have a boxer mix and she is really slender and stubborn she does not like being locked away in her crate. we originally had the thin wire crates and she was able to separate the top seam and escape really easily which was a major safety concern so we bought this crate and it is sturdy and keeps her locked away safely and with no play in the bars or frame she is not able to even attempt to squeeze her way out.

9 Mo. Boxer escaped
This looked very durable but our boxer puppy got out the first day. He bent one of the bars. Not welded very well. HOWEVER, the seller sent us a brand new and it has been perfect since. Must have just been a fluke but the seller took good care of us!

Not Heavy Duty, Just Heavy
Ordered this crate for our 10 month old lab/Shepard puppy. Packaging came in slightly damaged, though the crate was in tact. It was however covered in some sort of sand/dirt. Despite that, still took it out and assembled it.Put puppy in it the first time, he escaped out the top. For how "heavy duty" the bars are, the latches are really a joke. Very loose and can easily be jiggled out of place. I don't even know why it has a top door.Within a few days, puppy was able to bend the bars in and eventually broke one to escape again. For $200+ on a dog crate, I really was hoping for better materials.I also have to note that returning the thing was a pain for the weight. Holy crap. Had to basically push it along the floor back into the UPS store.

Nice, heavy duty kennel, love that it opens from the top also!
The kennel is heavy duty, the only thing that is not made heavy duty is the plastic tray, it came cracked and is flimsy. I need to replace it with a stronger one. I purchased this kennel because my 13lb puppy was getting out of her all wire kennel, even after I reinforced the corners and door with steel locks! My little escape artist can't get out of this one and is more content.

Bear Buck's House
The bottom part of my crate was damaged. There is a bend on the part where the dog sits and its causes a shift every my dog moves. I have a English Bulldog (6 months old - 45 pounds) Is there any way possible to get a replacement for that part? Other than that, I'm pleased with the product

Decent cage but weak
This caged worked for about a week for my 45lb pit bull with separation anxiety. She bent the bars apart and broke them off. The bars are hallow and thin and did not last. Would be a good cage for a calm pup but if they want to get out they will

Bad dog, great cage.
First a foremost, I was really upset that I had to shell out over a hundred bucks for a dog cage. But since we have a brute escape artist that kept destroying her old kennel and hurting herself during the process. With this kennel, it has stopped all escapes, no signs of giving or stress. She's made it her home even when she doesn't need to be there.it comes with removable caster wheels for easy relocation, or take them off and leave it stationary while cutting a few inches off the overall height,The door is easily removable and attaches back on in a matter of a few seconds. We were worried about the meshed ground and her getting her toes caught in it, but I comes with a removable tray that's meant for the bottom, but we placed it over and that's her floor. We are thoroughly pleased and happy with this purchase. If you have a problem with escape artist using brute strength, then this is you best friend.
