I can't return these because my "window" closed. They ...

I can't return these because my "window" closed. They are cold weather comforters and I didn't put them on the bed until last week. The filling seems to be seriously defective as it has started hardening and sticking to the cover in random spots. I have quilts from the same maker and they perform very well; now I appear to be stuck with bedcoverings that crackle when shifted as I sleep. VERY disappointing and a real blot on your record!
