Do you check the guitar before you send it? I mean, to double check that the guitar is ok and to avoid fret buzz

ESP sets up their guitars prior to shipping to us. Unless otherwise described in our listing, we send them on to you, still sealed in ESP's original packing.

Is the whammy bar removable?

Yes, it is removable It is outfitted with a slip-on nut that screws onto the tremolo.

Are the pickups a pair of active 81's or is it an 81/60 setup? There's a spec next to the guitar that says 81/60, and one below that says 81 twin set.

They are not a pair of active 81s or the 81 /85 combo they are actually Kirk hammers signature bone breaker pickups .. the guitar in the photos on this app does have 81/85 in it ( you can tell by the white lettering that says emg ) but when I received the guitar and as per esps web page it states ) it has the kh bone breakers in it … neon green emg lettering on the front of the pickups
