Only really important for aesthetic reasons. Not necessary for the game in any real way. But, if you want to complete the look, and have a completionist streak, probably worth it to you.

Box was trashed upon delivery; returned and reordered. New box *still* damaged, but minimally. Still, for the money, knocked off a star on what would otherwise be a 5 star rating. Pair with Kalameet and Manus for AotA DLC vibes!

The price was good, but the delivery was not. The tiles are wrapped in plastic with no other protection, and arrived with badly frayed and damaged edges, and a few scratches on the outer tiles. They're still usable, but the poor condition these tiles arrived in is an eyesore that detracts from immersion and table presence.

The product overall is what I expected and wanted, however the seller I bought the tiles from didn't package them at all and as a result the corners were all banged up.

Product is fantastic, and I really enjoy the game. NYC Collectibles, however, are crooks and shouldn’t be dealt with. Product was never delivered and even though I filed for a refund, none was ever granted. NEVER buy from this seller.

Lovely artwork on the tile, due to how they were packaged they look a year old. Love the game and theme they add to it, but shrink wrapped tiles with no protection makes no sense. Id have paid 5$ more for a box...or 5$ less.

Da ich die sowohl die darkroot als auch die iron keep expansion habe, wollte ich unbedingt das Tileset haben. Verpackt sind die Flächen leider nur in Plastikfolie. Da die Platten im Hauptspiel keinen Platz mehr haben, muss man selbst dafür sorgen, dass die Platten so verstaut werden, sodass sie auch unbeschädigt bleiben. Das finde ich für den Preis etwas schwach. Immerhin handelt es sich hierbei lediglich nur um etwas bedruckte Pappe. (9 in der Zahl beidseitig bedruckt) Dennoch verleiten diese Platten in Kombination mit den Erweiterungen eine passende Atmosphäre.FazitWenn man das Spiel wirklich wirklich gerne hat und es regelmäßig spielt UND die Erweiterungen hat UND der Meinung ist man hat noch nicht genug Geld für das Brettspiel ausgegeben, dann kann ich das Tileset empfehlen. Dadurch dass die Erweiterung nur rein optisch ist hat man nichts verpasst wenn man sie nicht besitzt.

Board design is great, and adds variety to the game. Some might disapprove of the fact that they don't come packaged in a box (it's shrink-wrap with a paper descriptor sheet) but I'm fine with not having yet another box to deal with. Plus if you get your minis in their own case then the boards easily fit into the core game box.
