Six Fairy Tales From The Brothers Grimm: With Illustrations by David Hockney

Great book, but a little larger format would have been even better.
Often admired the original prints at the Salts Mill gallery. Nice to find a volume that collects them together with the original text. Very nicely printed, but can’t help wishing the book was at least A4 to really appreciate the artworks.

Good for both art and fairly tale lovers!
A beautiful unique book.Stories are mostly unknown, and paired with Hockney's quirky etchings the combination is beautiful. Print and binding quality is good - would make a nice little gift.If you're tempted, it won't let you down!

Amazing fairytales and great artist
Black and white illustrations. But we could switch on our fantasy, and paint them with children

A beautiful item
The book is beautiful and the illustrations are fantastic. The translations appear grammatical poor but I imagine this is because they are close literal translations from the german. If i am honest this just added to feel of a unique and exotic item.

Very Good
A very nice re-edition, above average for the price tag. I've seen the original prints and the ones in this book feel quite respectful of that bigger exercise. It's a great pleasure going through this book

Fabulous book!
This is like a folio book - beautifully produced with a clear and straightforward translation ... and the illustrations are extraordinary! Amazing to think Hockney did this so early on and yet it is so timeless.

An Exquisite Production
This is an exquisite production which is a work of art in itself. The words and the illustrations blend beautifully together to create a timeless book to keep and treasure.
