While the headphones are not noise cancelling, you are able to tune out the background conversations. Any noticeable gap in the audio/Video is equivalent to scratching fingernails down a chalkboard in my mind. I only encountered that annoyance a few times during my evaluation- not enough to be a deal breaker, however.Comfort/Design of the unitA dark black elastic band with super soft earpads gives a stylish look and fits snugly. Also, its adjustable band is both sturdy and lightweight, thus making it easily portable. It’s foldable design helps to keep it safely tucked away from little ones- four to be exact.The headphones rest upright on a charging hub. Which seems to be accurate since I was able to binge watch roughly a season of “Game of Thrones” before recharging. My wife loves these headphones …not because she enjoys using them but because I enjoy using them while I watch TV and she reads. These headphones give me the ability to listen to TV, music or movies without disturbing anyone else in the house. The system is easy to set up. Essentially plug and play. The headphones automatically link up to the transmitter/charger dock by way of UHF Radio Frequency. Place the headphones in the dock while you’re not using them, and they automatically charge. The dock has a small footprint and looks nice sitting on the TV stand. The transmitter has an exceptionally long distance advertised at 165 feet. In my house I get some loss of sound quality at about 150 feet, around the corner two rooms away. It advertises low latency, but I have seen no lip/sound difference on any of the items I have plugged it into like my laptop, Blue-Ray player or cell phone (I get Dish Anywhere on my cell phone). This thing plugs into just about anything that has an audio out jack. I get about 24 hours of battery time on a charge and a nice feature is the auto shut off. At night I set my TV timer to automatically shut off and within 4 minutes of the TV shutting off the headphones shut off saving the battery’s. These headphones are light weight and very comfortable. The ear pads are soft and don’t rub my skin sore. Before purchasing these headphones be sure to read the description very good to ensure you understand what you are buying. These are not Bluetooth. Even though it’s very simple to set up I found it handy to read the instructions that came with the headphones to fully understand the plug ins and buttons. I feel certain you can buy these headphones with confidence!!!!

I can only speak to using these as a TV listening device. The sound is as good as our newer TV produces without the use of headphones . It's great to watch a tv show without bothering everyone else with the noise . only issue for me is that the headphones hurt my ears after an hour or more. The headphones fit well and charge right back up quickly. there's a button on the right side that enables you to mute the sound. I use it for commercials. I would recommend these . I would also buy them again.
