MAKOTOHand Forged Razor Sharp 41" Black Samurai Katana Sword - Hand Painted High Gloss Black Scabbard

Very well crafted and beautiful sword for the price! It would be nice to own an authentic Japanese made katana but then again I don't have $3,000 for one either lol. But I would have to say for being made in China it is well built, everything on the sword is nice, tight, and well fitted, nothing is loose at all. I also like the painting on the saya. I wanted to get a katana that was made of carbon steel rather than a cheap stainless steel sword. Not sure if this is really hand forged or machine made though. The sword is not razor sharp but is decent. For $53 this is a damn well crafted and good looking sword if you don't want to break your budget. Great for training or decoration. This is no toy though...! Always respect any weapon and utilize safety and responsible measures at all times.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. Big knife and gun man! Checked it out when it came in the mail. The ad says 41 inches over all, but you don’t realize how long that is until you lay it across a double bed and it comes within a foot of reaching the other side! Is very well made and my son will love the hand painted cranes on the scabbard. And is truly razor sharp!

Ok, I ordered two swords but only received one, the other sword never came, the delivery people was late or lost it, who knows, that’s what they do. But I got a full refund on that sword. The sword I received is a top quality sword and razor sharp, It’s very much worth buying. What I don’t understand is they tell me they have none to replace the other one and I did get my refund, but I would have rather had another sword. They claim they have four left? So I won’t buy from them again, I buy from people I can trust, that give me good service.

Very surprised at the quality of this for that price. It’s a real sword, and very sturdy, there’s no doubt in my mind that this can be used on an unlucky intruder to deadly effects. It’s weighty which just adds to its authenticity. Like I stated, this price for this sword is very unusual, it should have cost about 180-220 US dollar imo. Sure it’s not as flashy with colors or designs but that’s not why I bought it.It’s sharp for the most part, like used chef’s knife more so, you can trim a plan tree or severe a finger quite easily with this.

I love the color, how sharp it is and the tsuba!! , fits great into my hands, no scratches, amazing weight Overall it’s what I ordered worth the only 2 day wait 😁

For the money, this sword is really nice. I got mine and immediately took it apart, replaced the handguard and wrap just for fun. It is sharpened and polished very neatly, I am super impressed. If I take it out and chop some branches, and it breaks, I will be back to change my review... But for now this sword seems awesome.

Some times you just have to face facts, attacking problems with a 41" forged katana is a great excuse to get outside and meet the neighbors.Pro's: Holds an edge well. Strong Metal. Only damage received on blade was from accidentally slicing through a quarter to half inch copper pipe.Con's: Blade tends to bend and loose shape, will appear warped after use until you straighten it back out

2nd training sword I've bought from makoto. This is a very well made TRAINING SWORD. It is decently sharp but don't expect a folded steel blade with clay tempered Hamon. This thing is made of like 1045 steel and the hamon is done mechanically. But it is buy no means a toy. Its sturdy and well made. I bought one a year ago to begin iaido training and I've put it through the ringer. It has held up so well that I bought this one so my brother could begin learning with me. You get what you pay for and for this price you are getting a deal. I have no doubt that these swords can take off a hand right out of the box if you've hade some practice.
