High quality, bright colors
Just recently started adding some Philips Hue bulbs in our house and decided to go all in with the Philips Hue ecosystem.These lamps and the cables feel very high quality. I planned on just using them for holiday lights but may use them (and add more) for year round landscape lighting.The lights are great but the hub and app are really what make them shine. From the color settings, to the pre-installed themes, the ability to customize themes, the lighting effects (which they keep adding), and the automations, they do everything and you will feel good about spending a few extra dollars compared to other products.I'm a Philips Hue fan!

Hue Outdoor Lily Lights - Working Great!
I started with lights in the backyard and if they turned out good then I would put them in the front yard. They looked so great in the back I bought more to put in the front but I was a little worried that the hub would be too far to recognize the lights since the hub sits at the back of the house. This is why you go with Phillips Hue, it reached the front yard no problem and the lights in the front look as good as the back. Now with Halloween around the corner I won't have to put gels over my other outdoor lights to make it spooky, just tap the scene I want, done! I've seen other posts around about the weather seal so time will tell. From a product perspective the lights feel solid and operate flawlessly as expected. I have a total of 50 lights between the back and the front yard and couldn't be more happy with the purchase!

HUE = WIN!
Talk about lighting up the outside! These lights are easy to install and aesthetically pleasing. They’re so bright that they light up everything and more than I expected. They’re also easy to control, aim, and light exactly what you need. Hue has another win!

NOT as RELIABLE as one would hope
How do you not love Philips Hue lights? They are so cool and generally work well that you figure they are worth the price tag. So, you buy a bunch more.HOWEVER....with such a high price tag, they had better be reliable. They are not as reliable as they should be.I've had a number of very expensive pieces of equipment, including this power supply, go bad in less than 2 years. Be prepared. You are going to spend a lot of time troubleshooting and spending more money to replace items in your system that have failed. And Philips definitely does not stand behind their products – service takes you into a black hole of non-native English speakers. One of my power supplies had a serial number that was known to be defective. The Philips website says if you send in a photograph of the unit with the serial number they will send you a new power supply. Forget about it. Nothing but wasted time on the phone with people that have not helped. Beware!UPDATE: they finally came through with a replacement power supply -- and replaced the bulbs that failed as a result of the power supply failing.

So far so good...
Overall I installed 15 lights in our front yard. It's been about 6 months and they've held up in the Florida heat and humidity. Install and setup was simple.

NOT made to withstand outdoor use!!!!
We have a large property and were seeking up-lighting to display the beauty of the trees and the home. We had a cheaper system made by Hampton Bay that lasted three years and that was through rough winters. We decided to “upgrade” to the Hue system and have been nothing but disappointed. My husband spent hours researching and installing the system ensuring everything was properly connected. It worked only for a few weeks before this power supply stopped working because of breaks and kinks in the wire. My husband was able to use some electrical tape to get it working again, which should not be the case for something so new. Shortly there after one of the spotlights stopped working completely out of the blue. It is a very soft malleable wire that seems to break easily. These have only been in since June & we have had nothing but trouble. This brand was touted as very high grade and I would not even call it up to snuff for residential use. I really feel disappointed and insulted that no one has contacted me from the company to try to make things right. I’ve had cheaper systems with better customer service and frankly much better products. Very disappointed overall and hope that someone will help us out with this and we warn others so they don’t waste their hard earned money in this tough economy. Shame on Phillips for selling sub equipment. I like to support USA companies, but this is really not acceptable. These products are not made to withstand the elements at all from my experience so far. I look forward to hearing from HUE about my situation. They have made it very difficult to rectify the situation and customer service is a huge portion of what creates customer loyalty.

Would recommend
These have been great. They held up through cold for the winter season in upper Midwest and are going strong. The glass/material that covers the light or that the light shines through kind of dulls the brightness with colors other than white/neutral lighting (so much so that I thought there was a film I was supposed to remove or something) - so that is my only critique of the light functionally. Installation was very easy. Connectivity is good. Good quality product, but just wish the price was a little less steep.
