Handled My Chicago Trip Like a Pro
I took the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro on a weekend trip to Chicago’s Loop, and it didn’t disappoint. From recording the city lights at night to stabilizing footage while walking through the busy streets, this camera handled it all.Walking along State Street, I wanted to capture the rush of people, the bright billboards, and the city’s energy. The low-light performance was solid—the 1/1.3” sensor really made a difference in keeping details sharp even in dim lighting. On my way to Chicago, I filmed while driving at 80 mph, and the stabilization kept everything smooth with no weird jitters.Pros:Great low-light performance: Captured Chicago’s skyline at night without grainy mess.Stabilization is on point: Even at high speeds, the footage stayed smooth.Battery life is a lifesaver: Filmed all day, swapped batteries easily, no stress. With the extra battery pack, you can film all day without interruption: the only thing you’ll need is more memory storage.Dual screens are useful: Flipping to the front screen for quick vlogs made things easier.Cons:DJI Mimo app isn’t on Google Play: You have to sideload it, which is annoying.Audio is okay, but could be better: If you’re serious about vlogging, get an external mic.If you’re traveling or looking for a solid action camera, this is a great pick. It handled The Loop, nighttime shots, and high-speed movement like a pro. Definitely worth it for anyone who needs a compact but powerful camera for capturing life on the go.

Love this camera
Great quality camera. Use it for lots of random little tasks where I don’t want to set up my full size cam. Onboard storage is fantastic too, if you’re shooting often or making longer videos you’ll definitely want an SD card, but for my purposes it saves me a few bucks. Battery life is solid, the controls are easy to use, and the video quality is great even at night. The timelapse mode is a bit unintuitive but once you figure it out, you’re golden. The app sucks, definitely the worst app I’ve used to transfer videos. I’m on iOS, it might be better on android, but Sony’s app and Insta360’s app both work fine. This app has some bizarre issue where file transfer just doesn’t work the first few attempts, and it really doesn’t like it when you have cellular data on while connected to the camera via WiFi. Definitely a skill issue on the developer’s part as it’s not an iOS limitation.

More capable than expected, great P/P especially at prices it often goes on sale for!
I get this over the other brand #13 after too many youtube comparison. It isn't better in all aspects but in most. ONE battery is sufficient if you're not shooting professional content all day, and it charges very FAST, barely warm up that one time I accidentally hit record for an hour and forgot to turn it off in jacket pocket. OLED is a welcome upgrade, very visible even in brightest sunlight. Build is solid w rubberized texture. I'm only concern about the ports waterproof capability since they're quite easy to open. DJI Mimo makes it easy to connect and monitor for framing, exposure,...For accessories just get some ND/PL from K&F to achieve that blur at lower shutter and some mount, magnet quick release for the car/bike and you're set to record your joy ride.

Brilliantly Designed and a Joy to Use
I'm really impressed with this little camera! It's easy to use, the front screen is brilliant -- cleverly designed and super practical. The overall build feels solid and dependable and the video quality is better than I expected from this camera. The battery life is outstanding. Orientation controls for shooting vertical vs. horizontal video work exactly as on most phones, which is cool -- no need to go digging through menus to switch to vertical or upside-down video. What really surprised me was the ability to shoot in D-Log. I wasn’t expecting a professional-grade feature like that in this camera. I love being able to handle color-grading in post.

Love the camera but you'll need lots of YouTube or other source vids to make the right settings
Bought this for SCUBA, got good videos down to 100 feet (but most need further editing). Camera is waterproof on its own to a certain depth (but much shallower than many of my dives), so I bought a compatible housing for extra security. Worth it for peace of mind.Documentation that comes with the camera re: settings (and there are many) isn't too helpful, so you'll probably need to watch a bunch of YouTube videos for help.Good battery life (depends on your settings for recording), very fast USB charging. You must download and use the DJI Mimo app and pair it with your phone's bluetooth to keep using the camera more than a few times. There are security concerns over the app because DJI is a Chinese company. Android app on Google Play was removed because of security issues (you get the app directly from DJI's web site. iOS App Store has the app, I used it and am not too worried re: security. Mimo app includes some ability to edit and organize videos/photos, but it's not very robust. One thing I INTENSELY dislike is the file names assigned to each video (I didn't shoot any still photos): they are extremely long and complicated, and so far I haven't found an easy way to change/customize the file names.
