Basic, Affordable And Decent Sound Quality
In the last couple of months I have bought 3 different MP3 players two of them being higher end players that my windows 10 PC would not recognize no matter what I did, came with little or no user manuals and absolutely no technical assistance or customer service. One player I bought had instructions stating that if I wanted to update the device driver to email them and they would send me a file. No web address, no phone numbers and that player was an expensive player. Finally I decided to give this Frehoy 8GB a try. It arrived quickly and in great condition. I figured for the $25 it couldn't be any more of a hunk of junk than the previous higher end players. I was pleasantly surprised. The user manual is quite brief but very helpful. more like a quick start guide but gets you started off on the right foot. The seller has a 24/7 customer assistance line which is non existent with the previous sellers and expensive higher end players. The player itself is actually quite user friendly as it is just a simple and basic player. Sound reproduction quality is decent but could stand a little more output power for those accessories such as blue tooth speakers, radios etc but has enough volume to create a satisfactory listening experience when playing through bluetooth. Note; this player is not equipped with bluetooth but using a cable to connect the two to play through a portable or bluetooth speaker works fine. The ear buds that come with it have very good sound quality and if you adjust the equalizer that comes built in to the player you can tweak these ear buds to to the sound that suits you best. The instructions claim you can lock the player so you don't accidentally bump or push any buttons while listening but I've yet to be able to get it to lock. To me that's a minor inconvenience but would be nice. Also, the date and time set are only in a 24 hour mode or military mode as I call it so get used to figuring out the time in a 24 hour format. Bottom line here is that for this price, it's a basic player, user friendly and with an expandable 8GB memory you can load tons of music on it or e books or videos or pictures although to me an MP3 player is for music but to each their own. Also a 1 year warranty and 24/7 tech assistance, recharges rather quickly. about 2 hours if completely drained. I have only had this player for a couple of weeks so I'll see how it holds up and post another review at a later date.

Good Sound - Buttons Need Work
You get what you pay for. Considering what I paid, it would be unreason to be too fussy. The built is ok. The buttons could use a little work. I formatted the sd card and everything went fine.I don’t know the dac chip, but the sound was very good (that and not the build quality got the five stars). The amp in the player drove a full sized pair of headphones without issue. Good sounding player! The screen only displays text and no album art. Also, no touch screen. Navigation is ok, but not great (you get what you pay for).

It works, but can be difficult to navigate the menus. The round navigation button does not rotate, its just 4 buttons under the round disc. The EQ display does not seem to be a real active graph, just an indicator that the music is playing. Can't beat it for the price though.

I bought this for my husband who is technologically challenged to say the least. It is so easy to use that he listens to it all the time. We don't live in an area where we get radio reception so I can't tell you how that is, but my husband is very happy with this player.

Expect 6 months of use...
I’ve had this MP3 player for 6 months and it’s already toast. The screen is loose so anytime it’s bumped too hard it has to be turned off and then back on. The headphone port has a bad connector and doesn’t always work.

Will Not Support WMA Lossless Audio Files As Advertised? It Does Support MP3.
Advertised to support WMA Lossless Audio Files. Loaded music push play the display says format not supported. It does work fine with Audio Books recorded on inferior quality MP3 Format. I bought two, I will keep the one for Audio Books, but will be returning the one intended for music
