fantastic time saver
If you need an 8 core data cable quckly and already have cat5 cables with rj45's on them either already installed or loose this is a great solution. I manufactured analog hardwired volume controls to replace the digital units that failed and rather than try and solder solid core cat5e I used these and they work a treat! I was able to solder 'flex' alarm cable onto the volume pots into the phoenix style connector and then simply connect to the existing cat5e rj45 will be buying more of these

These have been great
I realise that I tend to review items that have done a great job rather than everything that I purchase. Well, these are in that category. These units are well moulded with very solid-feeling well-formed plastic. The connectors for the wiring use high quality screws to terminate each conductor with a moulded Ethernet socket providing the other side of the connection. The green screw terminal blocks can be unplugged from the black Ethernet adapter part. In truth, the fact that the screw terminal pieces are detachable is probably unnecessary (after all you can unplug the Ethernet cable anyway). I suspect that it is simply the best way for the makers to source quality screw clamp connections. You have to work out which side of the screw block is pin 1 of the cable and to maintain balanced pairs you have to follow Ethernet's rather crazy cable order.I needed to put some balanced cabling between the house and the garage - for current-sensing transformers with a Zappi car charger. This required three end-to-end runs of cable with two joins. I terminated the cables at the joins with Ethernet connectors and then used these Block Terminal Connectors to break-out the pins to allow one cable between the house and garage to split at each end to more than one destination.

Stepper motor to RJ
Good quality

Ideal item to gain access to the individual conductors of the cable
Ideal item to get access to the individual conductors. I found it ideal that having crimped one end I could check all 8 wires were properly terminated by using continuity meter. With one on each end of completed cable you could test the continuity and isolation of the cable.

Terrible. Unreliable. Avoid.
I should send these things back. They're simply rubbish. There's some internal connection issue, possibly between the screw block and the main body, or possibly the RJ45 contacts, making the whole thing unreliable. Poor show.

Good solid build quality & quick delivery of two units
The unit is very well constructed, quick delivery of two items,But for my application due to the recessed socket on a Kenwood TK-8189-E Transceiver RJ-45 socket it could not be used due to the construction of the moulding at the front, never less the unit is ideal for other applications in the future

So easy to connect and use.
I had a damaged connector on my Ethernet (stranded) cable. Many failed attempts to use the crimped connectors. Consequently I've been using WiFi for 2 years. Now with his connector within 10mins I was up and running with Gb Ethernet. Brilliant!I used the pin-out on the image and this worked perfectly.

Screw connections too stiff
I needed a connection that had screw connections and though this would do the job. Unfortunatley the screw connections were so tight. They could not be tightened or untightened without damaging the product.
