Wife and Toddler enjoyed this kit!
A fun rock painting kit for toddlers, we got this for our almost 3yo. The rocks are smooth and a great size for little hands to hold and to paint. The paint markers work well and are vibrant colors. This activity is not mess free, our toddler still got paint on her hands and we expected that. Also, the googly eyes and colorful gems are extra accessories and a fun touch but don't expect them to stick very well, you'll need better glue! We plan to use them elsewhere. My wife this activity under supervision, since she's still young, but to recreate the images provided an older toddler 4+ toddler should be able to do it. Our toddler also used the pens on paint sticks :)You can do this activity outdoors for a birthday party or indoors on a rainy day.

Fun and fairly simple
This is a really nice set to try out rock painting. I ordered it for a summer party to keep the kids entertained, and wanted to test it out to see how difficult it might be. I think the older kids at the party (10+) will be able to pull it off easily, but it could be messy for the younger ones. I planned to do one rock, but I was having so much fun that I wound up painting three! lolThe set comes with 8 smooth rocks, 8 paint markers in assorted colors, a sheet of flat-back gemstones, and googly eyes, plus instructions and decorating ideas. I picked out rocks that were shaped appropriately for the designs I tried and went to work.Shake each marker before using it (I gave each one 10-20 shakes) then keep depressing the nib against a rock until you see the color running into it. I was impressed with the markers. Some paint markers pool and leave a big blob when you first get them going, but these do NOT. I used the edge of the nib to paint a bigger area and did one side of the rock at a time, then set it to the side to dry. They dry pretty quickly to a matte finish, and even though I did get a little paint on my fingers, it washes off easily with a little scrubbing.Once I had each rock painted front, back, and sides, I let them dry again before adding my details. And that’s when the real fun begins! I painted a bee, a fish, and a Mothman, but I didn’t want the googly eyes so I tried a different tactic. I painted two clear gemstones with the black paint pen for the bee’s eyes, and two pink gemstones with the red pen for Mothman’s eyes. It worked! Please note: you will need your own glue to attach them to the rock. I used E-6000 because it was sitting right there, but I’m sure a tacky glue would work, too.All in all, this is a beautiful set and the paint markers are the best I’ve ever used! I did do a second coat on the bee for the yellow, but the blue and purple were opaque in one go. I wish there was a white marker to add details (and so I could paint on the bee’s wings) but I think I have another brand of a white paint pen around here somewhere. I’ll most likely spray these with a clear acrylic to really set the designs, and I may have to purchase a second kit for the party. lolSuper enjoyable activity, and overall a simple craft activity.

Super fun, everything you need included
I like to take kids crafty things to camp when my grandchildren come. This was especially nice because I could just grab the box and go. At camp we found it was complete and nothing else was required to bring from home. The paints are really quite nice, they dry to a hard shine and the kids were so pleased with their work. So that made me a very pleased grandma!

Great Crafting Kit
My 8 year old granddaughters really enjoyed playing with this rock painting kit the paint was in a felt tip type container so easy to use, you need to press the nib down a few times to get the paint flowing which was much easier than using a paint brush and less messy. It kept them occupied for ages, would definitely recommend.

Fun activity for the full family
This rock painting kit stands out from other similar kits in the fact that it does away with paint bottles and instead has paint markers. This is a game changer and allows unsupervised colouring without worry of landing with a mess. The provided rocks are quite nice and smooth and take the paint well, but you can replace it with any rocks you find around where you live. The paint actually lasted for all of the rocks and more. It also comes with a few sample designs that you can paint and I definitely found them very helpful when deciding what to paint (see pictures).Overall I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to try their artistic side.Listed Price when I reviewed it: £17.99(Disclaimer: I received this for free as part of the Amazon Vine program, but the views here are based on my own experiences and not edited or influenced by anyone)

Kids loved this set!
We live opposite a park and it's filled with painted rocks that others kids have left for others to find and then re-hide.So, I got this set for my kids to participate in the fun and decorate their own to hide in the park. You get 8 rocks and 8 paint pens, along with some gems and googly eyes👀.The paint pens work reasonably well, although I would suggest an adult preps them first (they need a shake and press down to get the paint to the nib). There's a nice selection of colours, but no white paint pen.The nibs are a little on the thick side, so you can't really 'paint' anything too intricate. But I don't suppose the age this is aimed at will care about that. My kids certainly weren't bothered. They don't need sealing once dry, but we have some in anyway so have sealed them for added protection, especially as they will be going into a public space. The kids have really enjoyed this set and are looking forward to hiding them for the summer holidays. The set comes nicely presented and at less than £20, would make an ideal gift.

Markers woth paint dry pretty fast
Excellent set for painting rocks. My child loves to draw, but she is 5 yo and not realky good with paints. This set has markers and it so much better. More comfortable for child and also not so messy like with paints. It has many decorations in the box as well. Markers need to shake and press little bit in the beginning to start drawing. Some were more easy to start, but 2 of them were quite difficult to start. They dry on the rocks pretty fast. Very bright colours even on dark rocks. Price is good. Lots of fun for my little one and even for me. I also enjoyed draw on the rocks😜. Highly recommend it!
