Sharp, clever, and funny - all the things the English "Sherlock" TV programme is not and they turn out 24 high class episodes a year. The characterisation is good - and it's evolved over the years; the writing is sharp and witty and the main actors all deliver a consistent performance which is not only convincing but subtle. It's fast moving not only in the action of each episode but they must work very hard to film so many in a season. It's head and shoulders abover the overblown Cumberbatch attempt. To my mind the best thing on TV. Really hoping there's Season 6.

I think this is still a good series however this is the worst season so far. The character Shinwell was an awful addition & the best thing that happened was when the character died. Whoever thought of this character needs to consider a new career. The series is still well written & the interaction between the main characters is still enjoyable. Hopefully season 6 will move back to basics.

Great series, quirky, humour, murder solving duo with an interesting undercurrent of drug use and living with addiction, a good modern Sherlock, don't usually like Jonny Lee but this role suits him and he plays it well

The final series of this excellent detective series. The usual inexplicable crimes solved by logic and deduction. Good acting and characterisation. Excellent viewing.

Great series, and buying a DVD and getting it delivered is 1/3 of the price Sky wanted to watch it on demand.

More of this excellent and exciting series. Fun and different from the usual Holmes dramas, but I can thoroughly recommend them.
