This is an easy-to-read book comparing our current day tragedies and challenges to those in the time of Isaiah.Isaiah 40:31but those who hope in the Lordwill renew their strength.They will soar on wings like eagles;they will run and not grow weary,they will walk and not faint.Chapters referring back to biblical times are followed by 'postcards' of current examples of God's faithfulness when we are in our own desert.This book would have been helpful during the times I was in my own personal desert. I chose to read it now because I recently traveled to the desert areas of the Middle East. I wanted the book as a reminder of the events that happened there and how God comforted His people through their tough times in the physical desert areas. I also had used a guide book written by the author and wanted to see more of his work.

A MUST READ. If you are on a journey of pain, this book will be very helpful. We read this book for a bible study at church. PLEASE READ
