Good filtration.

Nice quiet filter and love the idea of not having the heater in tank although I have to set it at a higher temp to get the desired temp

Filter would not pump water round effectivly. Water leaking through main seal. Box also abit battered. Tried getting help from OASE who didn't want anything to do with it and told me to contact the seller. Sent product back to seller, they also told me over the phone they get loads of these sent back and was basically telling me to get another filter. Not worth the headache. Will be sticking to fluval. Best bit about this was the fast refund.

I have had this for over a month now and I cant return it and I am really not impressed. I continually hear water dripping inside the cannister, for its size it is very noisey and the vibrations can be heard in the room below the filter. If anyone can offer assistance it would be appreciated, currently it is sat on a cushion.

I owned Fluval canisters for more than 10 years, this time I had to change the filter and I decided to go with the FiltoSmart Thermo just because removing the heating system from the tank would have been nice for the look of the tank and safer for the fish.However, the canister material is way less sturdy than Fluval, and the pipe connection system is garbage, I haven't cleaned it yet just because cleaning the canister would be a pain in the ***, and there is no way to lock water in the pipes to then safely remove the canister and clean the inside, you have to dismount everything keeping in mind the pipes contain water.The pump noise is way more than the pumps used in the Fluval 07 seriesThe PVC pipes are extremely hard to manage and are so thick that it's even difficult to position them inside a cabinet.Long story short: Oase FiltoSmart didn't impress me and the pain you gonna get owning one of these is not worth the gain of having a thermostat inside the canister.I wish I knew it before buying it.

Quiet and easy to clean

Overall I'm delighted with this filter and would highly recommend it. So nice (and functional) to have heaters, filters and diffusers tucked out of sight underneath. However with very little information on how to prime and start the filter I still struggle to get it going after a cleanout, my filter seems to struggle pushing the water up the pipe to begin with even when I've fully brimmed it with water. And expect there to be A LOT of water still above the filter seam when you go to open it even if you've tried siphoning it out through the inlet/outlet. Still haven't learnt how to crack the top open except over a bucket. I wish the heater was a little better protected also when taking the top off, new owners be very careful opening the filter.BUT this is a good filter, probably the best I've owned, and certainly would manage 200 litres. Carrying over a litre of biological media, even more sponge and carbon, it's way overkill for my 160litre tank with 7 small fish. The flow is cranked to the max which seems perfect, and the noise is just audible in the cabinet with towels etc.

It is a good product keeps the tanks Very clean it is a bit of a job to get water running through it and a bit of a pain to clean but other than that very good 😌
