MuttiDouble Concentrate Tomato Puree, Tomato Concentrate, 130g, (Pack of 24)

Couldn't get this in my grocery delivery, as it was around the time of the Panorama programme that revealed some so-called Italian tomato products being sold under supermarket own brands were actually produced in China using slave labour. This wasn't one of the associated companies, but Tesco sold out as they'd removed all the affected products from their shelves.This is one of my staple ingredients and I wouldn't be without it, so I ended up buying this big box. Mutti tomato products are beyond compare, always full of the flavour of sweet tomatoes. Utterly different from the sharp, acidic stuff that you get with supermarket own brands. It's more expensive but well worth it, IMHO.

Great tasting ,additive free and good price

This is the best purée to use for a great sauce. It gives a nice depth of flavour to my Bolognaise sauce or a tomato sauce.

I only have one thing to say for this and that’s YUM

This purée is different from the rest. It doesn’t have that usual sharp tart taste. A very smooth and soft flavour. Pricey, but you have to pay for quality.

Mutti tomato products have the most wonderful flavour, nothing else is quite the same. I discovered it on a holiday to Rome, and was thrilled to find it available over here. It can be a little expensive if not bought it bulk, but the product is fantastic.

I’ve used Napolina or Cirio brand tomato purée and tinned tomatoes for some years. I’ve recently tried the Mutti range of tomato products and I’m impressed. They’re a little more expensive, but the flavour is really intense and I find you use a little less. This paste is thick and rich. There’s a long date on the pack and they keep well once opened. Not a problem as I get through a tube or two each week.Happy to recommend this purée.
