Does the shredding part of the machine detach and fit into the collection box when storing?

Hi yes it will store inside the collection box, however I sent my machine back at my cost. Although the shredder looks good and is made well it was very slaw and awkward to use and did not perform as expected, Also Dirty pro tools refused to address my concerns> I had to use amazon to obtain a refund C Cornford

Will this cope with bamboo?

I have not tried it with bamboo, but it does not work well with fibrous products as it tends to clog the mechanism. I tried to shred leaves from a Yucca plant and it blocked everything.

Will this work if the plastic box is not used? - Just wondered if the box gets broken would I need a replacement box or could I use any container ?

Will work fine without the box, you could put any container underneath or let the chippings fall onto the floor.I've used mine extensively, it's very good but a bit noisy.

Can you get spare blades for this machine and if so how much?
