Good Item. Value?
This is a great item. The opics are clear, it is easy to use, and the measurements are fairly reproducible. I've never owned a range finder before so I opted for a more expensive one rather than maybe be disappointed. So it is possible that a cheaper one might be as good but I don't know. I feel I paid for a high quality product and I received a high quality product.

Works great
Is a little trick to use at first, and the clastic calc is pretty close. For the 308 it was spot on out to 600 yards. But for my 300prc I have doped out to 1k and when I tried doing the true value correction it is off. So I can either be true up to 600 yards or be true from 700 to 1000. But love the fact it ranges far, it is super clear, and can range something and it’ll show you on the map where your ranging. So if you shoot an animal you can bring up on your phone where you ranged and kinda takes the guess work out of where you shot it at. Only thing I’d like to change is if it had an option to where I can manually put in my own data for each yardage

Accurate & Consistent
Very accurate with readings and measurement being very repeatable. Feels solid and very good quality. Shopped for a while and compared multiple brands and models. This one proved to be the most accurate and consistent which was the most important thing for me. The FIRST ranging mode is very useful for distant targets against a background easily breaking out range to the target of interest. Highly recommend.

Easily reaches out to a mile
I was able to range the berms out to 1 mile. Can't ask for much more than that. That was also just in normal mode. It does help to put it on a tri-pod, luckily there is a screw hole just for that purpose. Display was real easy to see in the bright sunlight, menu and operation is simple as it gets. Highly recommend for the money. If you are in to long range shooting or hunting you won't be disappointed with this.

Awesome ............
This is a mid to high level range finder for the price but it is very good quality optics and I find myself using this on my construction jobs and it;s a big big help.

Excellent rangefinder. ELR mode is where it's at
4 month review:This is my 3rd range finder in an attempt to find something that fits my needs. I’m purchasing this for long range Precision Rifle and shooting steel out to around 1,000 yards and in, hunting with rifle and bow. I have been able to range street signs out to 1,200 yards repeatedly and unsupported. When people demo rangefinders by ranging houses at 2,000 yards, that’s cool and all but I don’t shoot in the direction of houses, barns, or towers so that’s not an accurate representation of field use for me in the context of shooting. If you're hiking and want the distance to a way point, sure this thing will definitely hit out to a mile on large objects. At this point I've had the Razor 4000 HD for just about 5 months. I've taken it to the club a few times and tested it on steel targets. Distances were known prior to ranging as there are berms every 100 yards. I've set up a 66% IPSC, 8-inch circle, and 6-inch diamond on each occasion. My club only goes out to just over 600 yards. I've found that the 66% IPSC is no problem to hit in any mode, even free-hand.For small targets go straight to ELR mode. The 8-inch circle and 6-inch diamond are virtually impossible to range in normal or first mode. I set them up at 400 and 500 yards. In ELR mode with the Razor 4000 mounted in my tripod it took 3-4 attempts but I was able to get a solid reading on each target. I've also confirmed a few distances at PRS matches on fairly large targets (full size IPSC, buffalo, deer, 12-inch squares etc) that were around the 1,000 yard mark using ELR mode. The range finder seems very overbuilt, the case is excellent, ranges return exceedingly fast, and the modes for first/last/elr all work as expected. Clarity is excellent, the glass in this LRF is awesome. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and it works very well. Out to 1,000 yards I have absolute confidence that I can get ranges no problem. The only reason for the 4 star review is because I have used some higher end range finders such as Leica Geovid 10x, Terrapins, etc. Those LRFs get 5 stars. The Vortex is probably best in its class, and I'm ok with that. The only cons I can find as of now are that the reticle is larger than I prefer and a small center dot would be nice. This LRF is also very easy to use. 2 button UI that doesn’t require reading the manual to operate.

Mostly good
My unit worked very well but unfortunately it had an intermittent electric problem, so I returned it. I would recommend this rangefinder.
