Perfect Replacement for my 840G3 Elitebook
I have five 840G3 HP laptops, and three of them were no longer holding a charge (I bought them used, and they can go weeks at a time without being plugged in, so I'm sure I've been hard on the batteries).I found some instructions online on how to open up the computer and drop in the new battery. I did it three times, and every time it was quick, easy, painless, and now all three laptops are working great on battery power. Much cheaper than OEM, and just as reliable, so far.

Quit whining about the screws!
This battery worked perfect in my HP Elitebook 850 G3. My battery was dead and would not work at all. I went to order the HP OEM part from the HP Parts Store but they have been out of stock for a while AND it was about a $100 battery.I decided to give this one a try since it was only $30. The battery works fine and came with a 75% capacity charge for it's first cycle. I ran the battery check from the HP support software and everything came up correctly. For those people who are whining that "it did not come with screws" you just take a pair of needle nose pliers and pull the little black gromet off on the bottom of the screw on the battery that is in your laptop. You then use the pliers again to use a little pressure and pop the screw out of the old battery and then pop it into the new battery and put the gromet back on. It's not hard people! Yes I would agree it would be nice if they included a spring loaded screw like the original battery but being you are saving $70 off the $100 for a true OEM replacement the extra few minutes to transfer the screw isn't a big deal.Do I expect this battery to have the same performance as the OEM replacement? Nope, being that it is 70% cheaper than the OEM I suspect the capacity may not be as good and it might die sooner than my 6 year old battery that came with the laptop. But hey, I am working now.Worth the price.

Stopped working completely after a couple of months
Initially everything seemed to go well. The battery installed fine and worked great. Then, after only a couple of months of very light use (and not plugged in when not being used) the laptop completely fails to power on without a power cord connected.I removed the battery and measured the voltage. Absolutely nothing at all. I can only come to the conclusion that something has failed inside the battery rendering it useless.I cannot recommend this battery. I have contacted the seller for assistance.

It's been working fine!
It's been well over a year since I installed this battery in my HP. I've had no problems at all.

Works and relatively easy to install
My only gripe is that the battery only lasts about an hour which is less than half the time the original battery lasted. Other than that I'm happy with it. The price is good and installing it is straight forward so long as you can keep track of the 11 screws HP placed on the bottom.Update: This battery identifies itself to the OS as a 46.5 Wh battery, which matches the advertised capacity. Some other batteries actually have a lower capacity so I'm pleased there. Also after 6 months of more than daily full charging and discharging cycles to single digit percentages, the battery capacity has now dropped to 40 Wh from the original 46.5 Wh. This is roughly ~200, fairly abusive-to-the-battery, cycles so it's not bad. The battery still works and has not ballooned like the original hp battery it replaced

So far, so good
It fit perfectly for a replacement battery but I've only been using it a few weeks. Will it last 6 months? A year? Not sure, but it was inexpensive, fast to get here and looked safer than the bulging battery that was in my son's laptop. I'll update my review when it either stops holding a charge or becomes unsafe, or if we get a new laptop for him (likely)
