We LOVE this! It is battery operated (we plan to use rechargeable batteries to be more cost effective) so both the button (transmitter) and receiver can be carried around the house. The 'vibrate' function is very effective - not totally silent but not loud enough to be bothersome.The 'flashing light' function is also very effective because the lights WILL catch your eye as they are not only flashing but also changing colors as it flashes. The unit it totally silent when in "light only' mode. The 'ring' function has both a volume control which can go from silent to earsplitting loud down and a choice of ring tones. It will be impossible to miss the summons when the unit is in the 'lights, vibrate, and ring' mode! We are using this as a call bell for an invalid to summon help when needed so it is nice that the receiver has a clip on it so that it can be worn on the waistband or belt (but not when it 'light only mode, of course). We have one receiver beside the computer for when we are working and can carry the other one around with us. We used double sided tape to affix one button (transmitter) to the bedside and plan to hang the second one in a chiffon which can be hung around her neck like an emergency alert necklace or off of the walker. We are still waiting for the second box to arrive so that we will have an additional button (transmitter) to place in the bathroom. (We'll also get an additional receiver and will figure out what to do with it as we start using it more often.) Hopefully, the combined units - 2 buttons (transmitters) and 3 receivers - will sync up as easily as the description says it does! We are still waiting for the second box to come, we ordered everything at the same time so it is odd that we are having to wait so long for the second box to arrive.Yea, all the transmitters and receivers synced up very nicely. We are pleased with this purchases and highly recommend it!

I teach young kids who are Deaf and Hard of hearing. We also have many Deaf staff members. This is the perfect solution to our classroom! Doorbell outside our door with sign, then 1 flasher on one wall and the other on the opposite side of the room. No matter which way they face they can identify the need present. It can vibrate, flash lights and has the option of 20 different sounds (great choices). A button on the side lets you decide which combination of those 3 is best for you. If at home, the alerts also can clip to clothing. So nice! I highly recommend! Many of our staff are now buying for home too.

No las recomiendo, se usan muy poco ya que es en la puerta de entrada de un apartamento. Las baterías no llegan a tres meses y hay que cambiarlas.

If our kids need (non-emergent) assistance while we are working, they push the button. We turned the sound off and they light up nice and bright. Avoid call interruptions? Check!

This is absolutely perfect for the deaf or hard of hearing, the ring tones have a “ loud ringer”. But it also can be set to silent and vibration, which helps my deaf family member.

The media could not be loaded. Very loud with sound, strong vibration, bright colorful lights. Smaller than expected but no big deal since it's so bright and still catches your attention.
