Ive tried various filter wheels on Amazon, and these are by far the best value for performance. The filters are very effective at removing small particles and seem to be quite durable. Out of 100 pieces, I didn't have a single blowout or leakage despite pushing an aqueous solution through the hydrophobic membrane (PTFE was used do to high PH of solution). Even on samples with a high amount of particulates, the filter medium was able to hold up without getting punctured due to the backpressure. I wouldn't recommend these if you require 100% sterile filter wheels as they come in bulk packaging, however if its not an issue these are a great value. Just make sure that PTFE is the proper filter membrane material for your application. Im using these with an aqueous solution, however in most cases they're better for organic samples and solvents (non-aqueous samples essentially). Pre-wetting PTFE filters in alcohol before filtration can decrease backpressure when using PTFE filters with an aqueous solution.TL;DR - Great value for performance, strong filter membrane, no leakage; make sure PTFE is the needed filter medium for your application; Not suitable for setups where 100% sterile equipment is essential due to packaging.

I have been using these syringe filters for a bit now, and they seem to function well, as you would expect. Can't vouch for the pore size accuracy, but have seen nothing to suggest that it is not per spec.

Just one thing to point out.. These are NON-STERILE, so keep your specific use in mind when you consider purchase these.with that said, the attach properly, and seal well, they don't overly restrict flow, and i assume they filter as they claim to (i have no way to test this).

We use these to strain pigments and dyes. They are well made and stay snug. No blowouts. They use the entire filter surface so don't clog to quickly.

I’m just starting to get into growing gourmet mushrooms, and wanted to make my own liquid culture. I’ve made my own modified lids, and use these filters per the advice of some YouTube personalities. They worked absolutely perfectly, and I haven’t had any issues with them whatsoever.I recommend getting the .22 µm size, because I have heard the larger size .45 µm are a bit too big for anything other than certain gourmet’s and only to be used on bags I could be incorrect, but I’ve heard it from two different people, so I think I’ll stick to the smaller size. For the price point, these are a wonderful deal, they come in their own plastic storage bin, and I haven’t found a defect in any of the filters I’ve use so far. Definitely recommend checking these out!!

These are great syringe filters if you use them like they are meant to be used. These are hydrophobic filters. They are pretty good at blocking water transfer. Which makes them great as gas filters. I use them in a dry nitro line and an instrumentation pneumatic line where water would be a BadThing(tm). These are 0.22um pore filters so fluids with strong viscosity will also not transfer. So its good for blocking the thicker oils. Again, great for pneumatic instrumentation and dry nitrogen. And probably helium and other dry gasses.The filter is well formed and the luer is molded precisely. I think my only bummer is that they don't also have a luer lock male end. But very few disposable filters do have that so not really something to be penalized for...
