I wanted a standing Desk to keep fit and not sit down so long, didn't want to spend £500 on a new desk, so step in from centre left the Cardoabrd desk. Brilliant, set up in seconds, easy to use and store. Need to use a wireless keyboard and have the VDU/Laptop on the top shelf. Easy to put away and store behind something in the office. The best bits of this device are that it is collapsable, light and sturdy - you literally can have a standing desk anywhere you go: something for a table at home, or to use on the go. This portability is expecially useful if say traveling for work and needing to write for lengths of time.You can see in one of the images that the box is set up on a desk that is thinner than the box and it's fineThe thing comes flat packed, wrapped in bubble wrap and then between cardboard sheets. I have cut the cardboard sheets down and taped all the edges (shown). This way, it simply travels as checked baggage. It's survived with only a couple dings to the outer cardboard.There are two downsides: price and height (hence 4 stars)Price - there has been a competitor (myfreedomdesk) on amazon selling this same design in less shiny cardboard for 19.99. No longer available - and there's no discernable difference. At 20 quid, i was encouraging everyone i know to check out this approach. At 30, for cardboard, it's harder to make the same case.Height is fixed - all the folks in the pictures promoting this device are tall guys - at least taller than i am. Consequently, pending the height of the table you find wherever you are, your forearms may be at less than a 90 degree angle (shown) - not ideal. It would be nice to have a couple of versions to allow for height variations. Heck, i'd prefer a shorter one that i could put a riser under - or something - rather than having to find a riser for me.-- [DESIGN SUGGESTION] alternately - the company could put dotted lines along the base as easy guides for folks to cut along to support height. Heck they could even produce a simple chart that says "standard table heights...recommended line to cut if arms are X" - or similar - if you're the only person using it, why not - that's what i'll be sorting out with a box cutter...All in all a great idea - and an easy price effective way, given the caveats above - to explore standing for some of your computer work time - or if you have a standing work set up, an affordable way to bring that home.

Not great quality but then again it is made of cardboard. Easily marked especially in the area where you use the mouse - looks worn easily,

I discovered this desk on Amazon, and really recommend it: very good price, super easy to set up and take out. + cool design. Same job as the super expensive one but for £30. Many thanks. + It's transportable which is unique vs the previous one that I tired!

I work for a charity with no budget to pay for things like this, and I couldn't afford a standing desk as they seem to retail from £150+. I have lots of back, neck and shoulder pain which is exacerbated by sitting down for too long. This is very affordable and easy to set up - and I can remove it from the desk if I want to sit normally. The only downside is that the space for the keyboard is too small for an older keyboard and mouse so I had to buy a new mini keyboard to use with it.

Great design and perfect, affordable standing desk option. It's more robust than thought and works perfectly with a laptop and monitor on it! Very light so easy to transport or put away when I want to sit! No more sore back when working!

Fantastic piece of kit. My chiropractor reccomended I get this for my back pains and already, after a week, I have noticed some relief. Easy to use and even easier to pack away when not in use.
