Exactly what I was looking for in an Art of book
I want to start out by clarifying what this book is, and isn't. As the title suggests about 75% of the book is artwork, ranging from concepts, character sheets to full page illustrations. The other 25% of the book is text explaining the intention and background of the design process. You won't find any store or lore in this book. The variety of artwork on display is great and covers creature design, character silhouettes, armor and environment. With about 250 pages packed will illustrations this one is an easy recommend for me. I have included a few pictures with this review to show the range of art on display here.

Much better than Vol 1
Love volume 1 but this book is much better imho. It covers D2: Ressurected, Immortal and D4, and the quality of pictures and paper is too notch. Must have for Diablo fan!

Item not new...but in good condition
I ordered a new product but I received a pre owned or like new version of it. The edges have worn signs possible because of the transport and/or poor packing. Due to the fact that I didn't wanted to return it overseas, I preferred to keep it but I hope these confusions don't happen again in the future.

Ruined it
The completely bent corner on this ART book completely ruin it for me. The dust jacket is torn to boot. It effects every page too. The creases are so bad. Heartbroken 💔

The Art of Diablo: Volume II – A New Age of Terror Unveiled
With Sanctuary descending into a new era of darkness, The Art of Diablo: Volume II takes fans deeper into the evolving visual legacy of Blizzard’s beloved franchise. Covering the latest titles—Diablo II: Resurrected, Diablo Immortal, and Diablo IV—this artbook aims to highlight horrifying beauty of the Diablo universe of the modern age. From grotesque monsters to ominous environments, this book captures the artistry that breathes life into Sanctuary’s ancient evil. While Volume II is a worthy addition to the series (there's even a deluxe version of this book for the most loyal minions), its focus and balance leave something to be desired, particularly for fans of Diablo II. Let’s break it down:★★★★★ ArtThe book boasts over 500 pieces of stunning artwork, showcasing everything from uncanny creatures to masterfully crafted landscapes. Each page is filled with spine-chilling concept art and detailed visual designs, demonstrating Blizzard’s unparalleled ability to create environments that feel alive with malevolent energy. However, the distribution of content between the three featured games feels uneven. The 131 pages devoted to Diablo IV take center stage, highlighting its darker, more grounded aesthetic—a deliberate return to the series’ grim origins. While visually impressive, some fans might feel that this change in style sacrifices the unique charm that defined the earlier games. The sections on Diablo II: Resurrected (50 pages) and Diablo Immortal (75 pages) are disappointingly brief, especially for those who hoped for a more in-depth exploration of these titles. For me, as a Diablo II enthusiast, the limited content is particularly frustrating, as the remastered visuals deserved far more attention.★★★★☆ TextThe accompanying text does an admirable job of exploring the creative process behind the games. The artists provide fascinating insights into their inspirations and techniques, delving into topics like monster design, environmental storytelling, and the evolution of Sanctuary’s aesthetic. The commentary offers a compelling behind-the-scenes look at how Blizzard balances innovation with tradition in crafting its haunting world. However, while Diablo IV’s creative journey is detailed extensively, the other titles deserve more narrative depth. Moreover, I missed the insights from the top-tier artists who contributed to Volume I. Or was it because most of them were no longer involved in the development of the games featured in Volume II?★★★★★ Book DesignTrue to Blizzard’s high standards, Volume II is a well-crafted book. The hardcover design feels sturdy, and the thick, high-quality paper enhances the vibrancy and detail of the artwork. The layout is clean and immersive, making it a pleasure to flip through. What I appreciate is that they maintained the same format and size for the book, making the two volumes a perfect pair to display together on a shelf. The lack of a dust jacket is a practical choice, ensuring that the book maintains its pristine appearance over time. The gothic typography and design elements complement the dark and brooding atmosphere of the Diablo universe as perfectly as in Volume I.★★★★☆ PriceAs of January 2025, the book is available at a 50% discount, priced at $22.50 plus tax. Considering the premium quality of the materials and the sheer volume of content, this is a reasonable deal, though the limited coverage of Diablo II: Resurrected and Diablo Immortal may leave some fans questioning its value.★★★★☆ Overall ImpressionsThe Art of Diablo: Volume II is a visually stunning tribute to Blizzard’s new-age artistry, offering a deep dive into the creative process behind its latest Diablo titles. While the book excels in showcasing the grim elegance of Diablo IV, its uneven distribution of content leaves fans of Diablo II: Resurrected wanting more. For fans of the franchise, this artbook is a worthy addition to your collection, particularly at its current discounted price. However, those seeking a more balanced exploration of Diablo’s artistic legacy might find themselves yearning for the broader scope and depth that made Volume I a standout.

mixed feelings
I got the art book yesterday but when I opened the box, the book was not sealed in plastic like how part 1 was, it was just there in the box and a crumpled piece of brown paper for protection. the sides were bent in and fingerprints already on the book. felt like i bought an used booked. does feel new at all.
