Is this cartridge good for an HP 4527 printer

When HP sell you a new printer (Envy 4527) they only give you starter cartridges with it which hold a very small amount of ink in them Hp 302 black 3.5ml and the Hp 302 colour 6ml cartridge. I was using about 3 black and 2 colour cartridge per month and it was costing me a small fortune. I later found out that Hp do higher yield versions of the 302 cartridges, which cost only a few pounds more but hold far more ink in them than the starter cartridge which I was using before. What you need is a HP 302XL on the black which hold 12mls of ink rather than the 3.5mls of ink that is in the 302 starter black cartridge and on the colour you should be using the HP 302XL colour cartridge which holds 11ml rather than the 6ml that's in the 302 starter cartridge. I can even go one better, I now use a company called advantage online who stock the Hp 302XL originals plus do a British premium compatible 302XL bk and 302XL colour cartridge which hold 18mls black and 18mls colour. I have used them a couple of times so far and have been quite impressed. I hope you don't fall into the Hp trap of selling a very good printer (Envy 4527) at a very cheap price and then trying to charge you load of money for starter cartridges. Its also a pity that Hp don't do a twin value pack on the XL's...

Is a normal hp 302xl? - then should fit any hp printer that uses the 302 series ink catridges? - so why does product title say specifically "...3830"

Good ink.

This cartridge performs well. It is is quite expensive, but is reliable. I tried some cheaper re-manufactured ones in the past but they either got clogged or ran out of ink too soon. The genuine HP ones are good though.

Black HP printer cartridge

We have only ever used HP products in our printer (over 5 years old now) and have never had a problem. The extra large cartridges certainly give you more pages. They aren't the cheapest, but we haven't wasted any pages with poor quality printing either. Delivery was prompt and the item was well packaged.
