Superb!
We were suffering from horrendous water-hammer, after having some work done elsewhere on the system, which presumably let in some air. Sounded like a jack-hammer all over the house - awful. The only workaround was to turn the service valve for the toilet down to almost off, just a trickle to fill the cistern. That stopped the terrible noise, but meant it took 30 minutes (really) to fill the cistern. Hopeless. We've just fitted this Fluidmaster - which had been sitting in a box for a while - and it's cured the problem totally. Service valve full open, the cistern now fills in 30 seconds (really), and no water-hammer.Not only that, but the filling noise is far less than it was, and yet far faster, than even before the hammering started.Very easy to fit, no leaks so far. Quite adjustable, adequate instructions, although washers etc don't look much like the ones in the pictures.Wonderful piece of kit. Recommended.

You don’t need any other seal
Product was perfect, easy installation and instructions. Unless you’re repairing a pre installed one you do not need Amazons recommended seals.

Nice silent fill
The brass fitting makes the joints trustworthy. Easy to fit if you have flexi pipe input. Otherwise the complete tank needs removing to guarantee the pipe length

Brass shank, never had a problem with one.
I have fitted a lot of these over the years they are easy to adjust and strip down if you have a problem the most thing i love is the brass shank re-assuring when you tighten it to a service valve, I would say just one caveat though make sure you have sufficient room in cistern to accommodate this valves float with flush unit,

Good item, easy to fit. Needed extra fibre washer
Really good product, easy to follow instructions and a lot better than standard replacements. Only thing to note is there wasn’t a new fibre washer included in my kit, ok as I had some but worth noting.

Super swap-in replacement
We've a push-button loo in our new place. I've worked with traditional ballcock-based pull-handle loos in the past, but this approach was all new to me.And when our cistern started filling in a repeatedly stop-start way, clanging the pipes each time it did so, I had to find a way of fixing it.So, I watched a few YouTube videos. One plumber recommended this device. Checking reviews on other sites indicated that it's highly recommended by professionals. Notably, there's also a video by Fluidmaster itself explaining how they recommend fitting the valve, which is worth a view. The price of this item goes up and down on a daily basis, so I'd keep an eye on it for a few days if I were you.Fitting it in my case was easy and took 30 minutes. Admittedly I'd had a rehearsal a few days earlier removing the old fill valve to see if it could be repaired. But this is basically a swap-in part, in a system designed to be both modular and to avoid interconnection. It looks bigger in the picture here on Amazon, which worried me. I worried the brass shank fitting was too large for my existing attachment. But I took a leap of faith based on that YouTube plumber's recommendation. Before installation, I just adjusted its length/height to match the existing valve. I also fitted the small in-pipe flow regulator widget they provide. We're mains-fed and the water pressure isn't amazingly high, but I figured the flow regulator would help reduce noise. And it does. Even with the flow regulator in place, the cistern fills in less than a minute. It's not silent, but the bottom-filling approach of this valve means it's more of a quiet hissing sound, compared to water being poured onto water, which is the sound the previous valve made. There's no bang or clang when the cistern is full.Once fitted and with the water turned back on, I had to adjust the little thumb screw to optimise the water level in the cistern to just below the overflow pipe. That wasn't hard, and was completed after a few test flushes. All in all, very happy. It's certainly a lot less fussy than the ballcock valves of old.

Brilliant
We had a job done by a plumber, and as usual he'd used the cheapest parts to save money. (the fill valve he used cost around £11 I think. The fill valve was dripping and wouldn't close off properly.Took a chance on the Fluidmaster after reading a few reviews, and watching a few videos, and it's almost silent when refilling. The other one was like a jet taking off when it was re-filling.Dead easy to fit. There's a small insert you put in the end of the threaded brass end part, if you have high pressure. I used that part and the fill valve works great. I didn't try it without so I can't say what difference it makes. We have another toilet that is extremely noisy when filling up and I'm going to change the valve for one of these when I get time.
