It’s about 3/4” thick and VERY well made. The quality along with the bees wax coating is great in that no painting is necessary - at least for now!

Yes, you can add the suitable size deep or super bee boxes to this hive. Our hives are coated with beeswax and are very easy to assemble. The 10-frame beehive is great beekeeping supplies.

Where is this manufactured?

The beehives are made in China. Our beehives have pre-cut dovetails and pre-drilled holes, which makes assembly very easy. Our hives are beeswax coated, and the hive kitis very complete, including 2 deep bee boxes, 1 super box, frame and foundation, which is suitable for beekeeping beginner.

I live in Tennessee is this a good hive for are climate?

Yes. I live in MA and have extreme temps from sub-freezing to 90+ and my bees are doing well. I love this hive and highly recommend it. My bees were out and about today. I have the hive wrapped for the winter but they did well and are going strong.
