Casio Men's G-Shock DW5600E-1V Black Resin Quartz Watch

This watch is comfortable, light, tough and has all the features most of us are likely to use. The back light is excellent, I really like the way it looks on wrist and unlike many digital watches it shows the time when using the timer and stopwatch functions. It has one flaw, the adjust button is recessed and I found it impossible to press with any of my fingers. If you have a set of small screw drivers it is a simple task to replace this pusher with the Casio part for the 2, 4 and 8 position pushers which are slightly longer. I did this, it cost £5.38 and has transformed the watch. There are videos online showing how to do it.

The classic beater watch, just put it on and don't worry no matter what you're doing. As G-Shocks go it's fairly basic but more than adequate for your daily needs, includes Time, Day/Date, Stopwatch, Count down timer, Backlight, 200m water resistance, Shock proof . Over 25 G-shocks in my collection and I didn't have this one ??? So purchased from Amazon US for under £50 including Duties and P+P. Watch arrived in 8 days via Royal Mail tracked, but as with my previous purchases form Amazon US the packaging does leave a lot to be desired as many have said before ! Strap can be a little stiff at 1st but will wear in, also the adjust button can be difficult to operate as it's recessed, it is designed that way to prevent accidental operation and perfectly normal (you don't have a faulty watch). Battery should last 3-4 years, backlight/alarm usage dependent, but you can easily replace it yourself (Batt is a CR2016) there are plenty of U-tube video's showing you how. Straps are prone to breaking over time, but replacements are readily available. Hope this helps !

The only watch you'll ever need. This watch can go anywhere with you, it's very sturdy and waterproof.

I've wanted to pick up one of these for a few years, partly to have an inexpensive 'beater' watch for practical reasons and, if I'm honest, mostly as an 80's, kid wanting scratch that retro itch. I'm really happy with it, the quality and finish are much better than the images show, or that I remember from the old days. It's very light and the stock resin strap is very comfortable. I'd assume it would look super chunky but it actually wears very well on my pretty skinny wrist. Would recommend. On a minor point; I received a model with 'Illuminator' text rather than 'Fox Fire' (as in the product images) with the latter being a Japanese Domestic Market version (I believe), so if you specifically want the JDM version just be aware that you may not get that.

Really Good Looking Watch. Tough when Dropped, doesn’t crack/break easily. Overall nice, easy to use. Only flaw I can think of is that the button used to change the time on your watch/start the stopwatch is small and kind of hard to use. Apart from that good.

If you want a gshock that just does the basics well then this fits the bill. I don't need all the fancy features that some of the more expensive gshocks provide. I just want a tough watch that can stand and take the knocks, provide good waterproofing and tells me the time without any fuss. This watch is perfect for that. Comfortable to wear too. Well worth the money

Well what a great beater watch, and brilliant value for money, and so comfortable on the wrist and so stylish.I just wish i got a G-Shock a few years back, as i love the great outdoors, but you know what "i just didn't get it, as i was saying to myself well what is all the fuss about as i loved a divers style watch".I still can't believe what ive getting for the my money, they have give this watch away.

I bought the identical watch over 10 years ago. It's still going strong, but the strap has had a hard life and is beginning to crack. At this price it's not worth buying a new strap, so before it failed I just bought my second watch. (Yes of course it has had a new battery or two.)The only time it leaves my wrist is to run it under a tap and brush it clean of mud. It's a true workhorse.
