I have a mixed feelings about this one. When I apply it on my lower back I can feel nice, cool sensation that last for quite a while. When I rub it on my knee - nothing. So maybe it depends where you apply it.

The patches are initially cooling however do not last very long. They have a slight menthol effect like using vapour rub. They stick well and are comfortable but not very effective.

Easy, no mess and it works
These cold patches are easy to use, there's no mess at all, very discrete and they have been effective for my when I've tweaked my back problem.The box contains a foil pouch which is resealable with grip seal. The pouch contains 4 patches which are the size of an old fashioned postcard. They smell quite menthol but this isn't so noticeable once the product is applied and under clothing.Each cold patch has a soft backing, very flexible and a very sticky side with a clear plastic film. You peel off the film and apply sticky side down to the effected area. They are very sticky and stop in place though for me near thebase of my spine and figeting a lot I do use a little surgical tape just to stop the edges/corners from curling as they brush against clothing.The directions say the cooling effect will be felt quickly (yes it can) and can last up to 3 hours. You can then apply a new patch as required up to a maximum of 4 patches in one area one after another.When you're finished you just throw the patch away - unfortunately not very eco friendly as not seemingly recyclable.As the patches are very flexible they mould to the shape of the area but it also means it's easy to get it stuck to itself. You can then peel it back apart but it does help me to have assistance or use a mirror when applying to my back! After removing a patch I stuck it to my hand and it form perfectly around my fingers and knuckles taking the shape it was applied to.I've used these patches twice now after making a movement that has given me that "Uh oh" moment where my back has pulled. I apply on the source of where I know the injury has occurred and I'm confident it has helped greatly to ward off the injury getting a lot worse.What I love is how convieniant they are. They're lightweight, will slip into a bag pocket easily without getting damaged or being bulky and you can grab one easily without sprays or gels or any kind of mess. Great for someone like me with a debilitating chronic illness as it used far less energy. Hoping they bring out a value back at some point to ease the cost but I will be buying them again.

Apply only to clean, dry skin. Open the pouch, remove one cloth patch and peel off the clear plastic film. Apply the sticky side of the patch over the desired area. Do not cut the patch. Re-seal the pouch to prevent remaining patches from drying out. Use all patches within one month of opening the pouch. Each patch can be used only once. Throw away the patch after use.
