My original review is below. I have now revised it. Having been initially very disappointed with this product, I was proactively contacted by the seller who were concerned about my one-star review. They offered to send me another unit to see if this would work better - all at no charge. The second unit duly arrived and actually works much better. The product is a cute idea and the second unit functions well provided there is strong sunshine. But, above all, my five stars are for Yehard. Fantastic service!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I think, whoever designed this, failed to do their maths. Really, the battery cannot charge enough ever to start the pump. Out of the box, the fountain appeared to work (albeit weakly), but this was on the residual charge in the battery. Once exhausted, the battery never seems to be able to recover. Disappointing!

It doeswhat it says it does, pity you have got to provide your own sunshine! No real complaint, customer relationship of the supplier is good. Nearly made the five stars.

We have recently been renovating our garden pond with a new liner as so forth after the work we have been looking for plants and accessories for the pond.This solar water pump atracted me straight away I have been very keen on solar power for a good few years now I have been trying to save money over the years on electricity.This will help with me saving more money in the future as the solar pump will help oxianate my pond all by the power of the sun which is free the only cost is the initial pay out.One great thing about this is there is no need for plugs it works automatically under strong sunshine the construction is good and this item will not break or fall apart easy.Setup is simple and straight forward place in a location which has most sunlight coverage for best performance it works even with little sunshine, do not expect a proper fountain but if you want to clear and oxygenate the water in your garden pond , it does the job.The base and small cover on the pump comes of for easy cleaning, the reflection from the solar panels also goes some way as a deterrent to pesky unwanted animals.Overall I have been very impressed with this solar water pump from yehard it worked better than I thought it would it adds something extra to my pond and I would not hesitate in recommending it.

The first pump arrived and did not work but I was very quickly and without question sent a replacement which worked perfectly. It is a good little pump for the money. It only works in full sunshine but I don't really want it on when it is dull. I have put it in a pretty glass bowl. I chose it as there were no trailing wires to contend with. Excellent little water feature for a bird bath. It does only work in full sun but it's great. The birds love it.

Looks quite smart, nicely packed, instructions are pigeon but can be understood. First used on a clear blue sunny day at mid-day. The fountain achieved 1 inch spray above the head for a couple of hours, then nothing. Didn't bother to return, due to hassle.

This little pump has surprised me! When sun is fully hitting it really gets quite high.

This product only worked in very strong direct sunlight and even then it only worked for about a week. It swelled with the water and fell apart!
