I actually bought this because it was inexpensive and cut it down to make a 1 1/2 foot by 3 foot doggie door opening in my screened in sun room so my 60 lb lab could come and go without opening the screen door. I cut it dow to size, stapled it in place so the magnet closure fit together then put would trim around the edge.

Too small for door

The installation instructions were easy to follow and you can have it up within 5 minutes. However, just as I was about to stick it to my door, I noticed there was damage especially in the areas where the net had been folded. I believe it unfortunately speaks to the quality of the mesh — it’s rather thin and easily breaks. Maybe I just had a bad quality one? I’m not willing to go through the hassle of returning to try a replacement item.

Works like a charm

We absolutely love this magnetic screen door. Our dog does, too! We love to keep the doors and windows in our house open during cooler months, but did not have a screen for the center-hinge door that opens to our rear patio. With the addition of the magnetic screen door, which was easy to install with included Velcro, we now leave our door open so our dog can freely go outside without fear of bugs getting in. During winter months when we're less likely to use the magnetic screen door, it's easy enough to remove from the Velcro and reinstall next season. This is by our dog's favorite feature of our home.
