ENGELUC30 30qt Leak-Proof, Air Tight, Drybox Cooler and Hard Shell Lunchbox

I have used the cooler a few times since purchasing a couple of months ago. Perfect size for our road trip. Kept everything cool and the ice lasted well past our 10 hour drive. Used it for an afternoon party recently and the drinks were still cold the following afternoon. I love the color!

The media could not be loaded. It’s a beautiful cooler and the latches seem strong/sturdy. I haven’t tried the strap out yet but it came with the cooler along with a warped basket and a sticker.I’m bummed that the basket won’t sit in the cooler properly because that’s why I chose this one. I don’t like my electronics out in the sun.::sigh::Seller: Can I please get a basket that sits in the grooves? This cooler is my go to cooler. I love weight to capacity ratio. It is pretty light when it is empt. I can load it up with drinks and food and still lift it up into my truck. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing my Engel cooler. Engel coolers made the top five in several comparison videos on YouTube. I have a small Yeti (it's ok - the zipper sucks & it's too small) and a large Rtic (love it but it is too heavy). I wanted a lighter, in-between sized cooler. The Engel met my size requirements and my wallet loved it. When I saw that it came in pink, I was sold. I love that it looks like a large make up case. It keep drinks and food cold for 2-3 days. I usually leave it in the bed of my truck in the sun. The ice partially melts but everything stays cold - even on the third day. A really great cooler for the price. My only complaint: I wish there were handles on the sides for lifting it in and out of the truck.

If you own a Feelfree Lure 11.5, this cooler fits absolutely perfectly behind the seat! Keeps our food and drinks cool all day even in the blazing sun. High visibility orange is great for when we go into river mouths in the ocean to help other boats see us. Highly recommend!

I got this because I wanted a medium size cooler. I admit, I am a form of function guy. I like the look, design and size of the cooler. I wanted something that wasn’t too heavy. This does get heavy when it’s full of beer and ice, buts it’s manageable. The cooler is not well insulated and does not keep stuff cold very well. If you are camping you will be lucky to get 2 days of ice retention. The lid seems somewhat flimsy when opened. The handle seems somewhat flimsy - I wouldn’t trust it with a heavy load. It’s a good cooler for picnics and day trips.

You get what you expect to get. This is a good dry case or cooler for day trips.

This is a great cooler. It keeps everything cold, has plenty of room and is easy to carry and clean. Highly recommend.

This is the second Engel cooler I’ve bought my son. The first took years of fishing abuse and sun exposure in the Florida sun. Everyday to the fishing pier to fish. Always kept things dry when he needed dry storage or cold when used as a cooler and also as a seat when needed. After 6 years we did replace the hinges, but he still uses that cooler to date. That was over 10 years ago. Now he’s 21 and I bought him a new for Christmas as a surprise and he was thrilled. So worth the money!! I bought him the orange color this time. It’s definitely construction color orange, but he loves it and says no one could every mistake his cooler for theirs! :)

Great cooler. Keeps everything cold old day long

Ich hätte zwar lieber eine andere Farbe gewählt aus der großen Farbauswahl. Aber ansonsten sehr zufrieden.

Die Box war 2x in Gebrauch. Bei der zweiten Nutzung war diese nur mit ein paar Kühlakkus befüllt. Durch einen leichten Stoß an eine Tür (wie bei vorsichtigem Klopfen an eine Tür) ist eine Ecke des Deckels gerissen. Die Beschreibung (DURABILITY: Features a hardbody shell with stainless steel hardware, that is almost indestructible. Engel’s rugged drybox coolers are built to last in the harshest conditions.) ist hier mehr als gelogen. Dass eine Kunststoffkühlbox nicht dieser Beschreibung entsprechen kann ist klar, jedoch habe ich einiges mehr als das erwartet. Dem Bild kann entnommen werden, dass der Kunststoff nicht eingedellt wurde, somit kann es kein schwerer Stoß sein.Der Händler (Engel) wurde kontaktiert und nach erstem Abblocken auf das deutsche Gewährleistungsrecht hingewiesen. Dieser blockt weiterhin ab und verweist auf seine Garantie.

Die Kühlbox ist gut, tut was sie soll und bietet viel Innenraum für die Maße. Schwachstelle sind die Scharniere, die den aufgeklappten Deckel halten. Einmal nicht aufgepaßt, reicht schon fast das Eigengewicht des Deckels für einen Bruch. Es gibt zwar Ersatzscharniere zu kaufen, jedoch nur aus Amerika zu ein paar Dollar Materialkosten, aber fast 30 Dollar Versandkosten nach Deutschland. Leider war auch keine andere gute Kühlbox unter 120 Euro zu finden, die keine solche Schwachstelle hat, entweder an solchen wie beschriebenen Scharnieren oder am Scharnier des Tragebügels, was die andere typische Kaputtstelle ist. Also, behalt ich die Engel und hoffe, sie hat das, wie sie heißt: einen Engel.
