It would be better if it can record and show on/off history
I just got this item setup - it's pretty easy. The outlet itself works great, but the software is a bit disappointing. As I get used to from other smart apps, I would like to have a history of on/off time for my record, which is the main reason for me to buy this smart plug. Also, I setup a schedule, and I would like to have a button to turn on the schedule (and maybe to be able to lock it, so that no body accidentally turn it on/off).Reduced one start after two days use...It doesn't have notification capability either. The Tuya app is not available for iPad. I tried to install iPhone app to my iPad, but it's not usable (text is too big and some of the elements are not accessible).

Work Great - Easy Setup using Tuya App -- Plus compatible with Alexa if preferred
These are excellent smart plugs and work just as they should. One selling point was obviously decent price, but more importantly I saw it used the Tuya app -- which is my favourite smart home app so far.I made the early mistake a couple years ago of purchasing TP Link products which use the horrible Kasa app -- those only work 10% of the time and constantly need to be set up again, and again and again....But not these smart plugs -- these are perfect!!!The Tuya app is easy to install and use. I have 5 devices on it now (including these two smart plugs I just purchased).Setup on Tuya is so simple: Open Tuya app, plug in your appliance to this wifi plug with your appliance "turned on/running", then push the button on the smart plug device for 5 seconds or so until its light blinks, then hit the + sign on Tuya to add a new device. For some reason, Tuya may prompt you for your network wifi password (no idea why, since mine already knew my password from earlier devices added) but then: Voila! Tuya finds your new device within about 10 - 15 seconds. You can name the appliance whatever you want. Disclaimer: My setup may be slightly different since I was already using the Tuya app; but even when I used it the very first time -- I had instant success within a minute or so. Honestly, it takes longer to download and install Tuya app than to use it, seriously -- it's just that great and simple an app. Then, for my setup, I opened my Alexa app and went to Smart Home and selected "Discover" so it could find these two new smart plugs.I had both plugs set up and working within 3 minutes -- and I can use these new plugs via Alexa or my smart phone.Tuya is an excellent app and doesn't seem to have any bugs or issues. All my devices work well through Alexa using Tuya -- my only problems were when I was using those horrible TP Link "smart" (ugh, dumb) products which require the Kasa app. The Kasa app is buggy and unreliable. But with the Tuya app, which these plugs use, all is amazing! So far, the Tuya app has NEVER failed me, nor has Alexa ever failed to communicate with my devices connected through Tuya. And if you have a storm and lose electricity for a while -- Tuya and Alexa recover wonderfully when current is restored -- they require no further involvement from you to start working again!!!These wifi smart plugs use Tuya OR SmartLife apps to connect. I haven't tried SmartLife but this sort of versatility is valuable feature; it's wonderful to have several app options to choose from.I am delighted with my purchase. The second I saw these plugs could use the Tuya app -- I was sold! Plus the ability to get Alexa to turn on & off things is a great blessing in my life. And for those who don't use/like Alexa -- obviously you can just use your smart phone to operate these plugs too.A++++++

Most Often Ordered With: magnifying glass to read the instructions manual.
These compact little button adaptors seem to be versatile and good at their job. This 3-pack is our first foray into adding smart home functions to our network of three Echoes in our house.Setup was a bit more complicated than I expected. I needed to install an app just for the devices to initialize them. Then I could discover the devices for inclusion in the Alexa Smart Home feature sets. To set up a "Scene" I had to use the device's app, but then the scene was available to Alexa. The worst part about setup was the TEENY TINY font on the instruction 1"x1" accordian-fold instructions. Between the small typeface and the choice of a taupey/gray font color, I found the text almost impossible to read. I'm in my 50's and benefit from using reader glasses. But for this set of instructions I had to use my readers, and I had to go raid my ocean navigating gear to pull out the biggest magnifying glass in my kit just to read these instructions. After about 10 minutes of exploration, I got the hang of it. A few minutes later, the devices were named and "Scenes" were set up. I was controlling devices from all three Echoes throughout the house. The smart plug adaptors functioned EXACTLY as described and as I expected. I'll be ordering more.

Multiple issues with connection as time goes on
I am editing my initial review. At first I was very pleased with this product. But, at time went on I have had multiple issues with these items staying connected and working. The slightest issue with the network, power outage, etc... they stop connecting and then it takes some time before they connect again. This time I completely switch to a new Wifi and network... much faster and, I renamed the network. Now I cannot get these WiFi plugs to connect at all. I continue to get an error message each time I try. It’s been over an hour so I think I am finished with the product.I suggest you not buy this product. There are many more WiFi products that are much better.

Just what I was needing to connect my inside window Christmas lights to my Google Home Mini
These are just what I was needing to connect my inside window Christmas lights to my Google Home Mini. Each one synced up with my wifi although one did it the first try, one took three tries to reset and sync and the other took two but all are working great. I even created a group for all three and set them up on a schedule. The app shows each outlet and allows me to name them. I ran across some smart light bulbs that use the same Tuya app which will make setting them up super easy. Inside the app are instructions to help connect with Google Home and the Echos. As a suggestion, get all of your outlets set up with wifi and named through the app first and then set them up with Google Home. This will make it a lot simpler process. Note this review is for the three pack of the oval shaped outlets. For some reason now only the two and four packs are available and the three pack is showing as little round ones.
