KAVU Zippit Crossbody Bag Cotton Purse With Adjustable Rope Strap

I've enjoyed Kavu bags in the past, and I thought this would be a nice smaller sized bag for traveling. I selected this one specifically because the main compartment is zippered, as opposed to having a snap closure like all of Kavu's other bags of this style seem to have. But I was disappointed when I took it out of the box and saw some things about it that weren't clear in the pictures or from the description:- There are NO internal pockets. There is one main zippered compartment, and then a couple of smaller zippered external pockets on the front of the bag and a velcro pocket in the back. My other Kavu bags have several internal pockets, so this was surprising.- The strap has a plastic buckle on it, so if you press on the clip the strap just comes completely unhooked. I don't even understand why anyone would want a strap release on a purse, especially when there's no other way to carry it. Part of the reason I chose this bag was because I like the thick rope straps and find those good for security, but to me the buckle makes the bag less secure. Maybe it's there to make the strap adjustable, but there has to be a better way that doesn't make it so easy to take apart.- The fabric is abrasive, and I can see how it could damage the clothing it rubs against, as some other reviewers complained about.I'm sad to be returning this but these features made it unappealing to me.

Love the bag's size got it for travel (zip closure) abroad. However this purse ruined every shirt and jacket I wore on my trip. It pilled the shirts and jackets where the strap and actual purse laid. (I wore it cross body so I didn't get pick pocketed. I have another similar style Kavu purse and I have never had a problem with it damaging shirts. So disappointing.... Like I said perfect size for travel

I've been impressed with Kavu for a long time and was waiting to find just the right size bag. You can imagine my disappointment when this bag didn't meet my expectations. For days I was pulling loose threads, burning frayed mesh ends and basically doing the finishing up work that normally a high quality product would not need. Additionally I was disappointed that the rope strap was so thin and narrow;not like what I had seen in stores. The fit was good. It's lightweight. But quality was substandard.

Love this purse. Very bright and fun pattern. Used it for a trip to Disney for a week. I liked that all the pockets were zippered, minus a Velcro one on the back that I didn’t use. The big pocket has no inner pockets which was unusual. I liked the cord straps. Not a huge fan of the buckle on the strap. Can’t figure out its purpose and it doesn’t look any better with it. I wore the bag cross body and found the buckle uncomfortable on my back when sitting. This is my second Kavu bag. I definitely prefer my larger bag, but this one was better suited for my needs this trip.

I am in love with this bag! Super cute print and has many compartments making it easy to organize my things. I wish I would have looked up the measurements for the max length of the strap. I'm a bigger gal but prefer to wear my purses cross body and when I do this it sits right under my breasts... not very comfy lol I like them more at my hip! Still love it though!

I never give one stars but this purse is such a horrible design! The actual pattern, material and colors are nice but the “adjustable” strap is absolutely useless! Not sure why this company would decide it would be a great idea to make a strap that barely even extends & then sew on a pointless/useless giant plastic buckle. I was so looking forward to having a KAVU purse and I couldn’t be more disappointed. Hopefully they’ll change their design in the future. Also, the pictures in the description are very misleading & do not show how the strap design really is.

This is the second KAVU bag I have purchased. The first one has worked out great so I wanted another color pattern. I like the sturdiness and construction. There are plenty of pockets without being bulky. The size is not too small and not too large. I have been trying to find a bag that was able to carry just what I needed without being too big. This fits the bill. The straps are very sturdy and can be adjusted a lot. I needed something to free up my hands and these work perfect. I would recommend them to others.

I hate carrying large purses, and love the cross body style. I have had other Kavu styles, but was worried this might be TOO small. I figured if I couldn't use it for everyday, I could at least use it for day trips and outings.This purse is PERFECT for me for everyday. It keeps me from overloading my purse! I easily fit my iphone 8 plus, wallet, keys, lip glosses, sunglasses, small hair brush, small lotion, travel size Aleve... It even held my gloves when I didn't have them on!The strap is sturdy, and I love that it has the clip to be undone (Came in handy carrying bags through the city over the weekend). The canvas material is thick and durable. The velcro for the back pocket is strong. It falls to the perfect length, to where it isn't in the way, but it still feels safe and secure against me.I ordered in the solid black, so it would match anything. The casual style is just right for me.If you are looking for a smaller casual cross body, this bag is great! Highly recommend!
