I love these pens
I can't remember when I first came across Uni-Ball Signo pens from Japan, but I absolutely LOVE them. Of all the hundreds of pens I have (yes, I have a problem - they're my addiction), I prefer the ones with micro points and these pens have some of the best. They write very smoothly without a skip or leaving a glop of ink like some cheap rollerball points can do. Even if you tend to have very small, cramped handwriting, these pens are so fine that what you write is still easy to read. Ink dries quickly so there are no smears, and it doesn't seep through to the other side of the paper. This blue-black ink is equivalent to a dark navy, and this pen also comes in other lovely colors that are a nice change from the usual bright red, blue, or black. Being such fine point, these pens aren't the best for use on multiple part carbon(less) forms as if you press hard to make sure the imprint goes all the way through, you can tear the top sheet of paper with the minute-point of the pen.

Only Pen I Want Now
This review is for the Uni-Ball Signo (UM100.64), Blue Black, 0.5mm.This pen is practically perfect. Normally I really can't stand gel ink, but this ink writes very smoothly and also dries quickly. Even though it's a fine tip it never clogs or skips while writing. I can get extremely neat lines from this pen. I was initially worried about ordering the blue color, but it turns out this is a really "professional" blue. Dark in tone. Actually, I've come to prefer it now over black. As long as these pens are for sale they will be the only ones I buy. Worth the relatively high price point.

The Real Deal. The Best Pens
I think I first used these Uni-Ball Signo Blue Black 0.5mm pens back when I studied abroad in Hong Kong in 2004. They were truly the best pens I'd ever had the pleasure of using for daily use, taking notes in-and-outside of classes. I tried to stock up at that time but it's been over fifteen years, and I was thrilled to discover, order and receive these pens today via Amazon. These seem like exactly the same item that I used so many years ago. It's pretty awesome. I love the blue black color. These pens aren't as stylish-looking as some of the other Signo models, particularly the mx (?) or micro point gel pens, but they still look good and come with the bar code with Japanese writing to let you know these are authentic, Made-in-Japan, pens.I'm going to be ordering more Uni-ball Gel Pens. Can't beat the convenience of online ordering from Amazon for Japanese stationary with quick-turnaround shipping!

THIS PEN IS A REAL PLEASURE TO WRITE WITH!
These got my attention because blue-black is my favorite color of ink. The line is very fine and the ink flows smoothly; it is a joy to write with and I am TOTALLY satisfied with the writing performance. I tested it by writing, letting it dry for a day, then scrubbing the paper lightly under water; it did not bleed or run, like G2s will (with some colors of G2s the ink totally disappears with this test!). However, I am taking one star off for an unexpected reason - even after 24 hours, a Sharpie yellow highlighter will cause the ink to smear slightly, giving a shadowed effect. This is not a problem I have encountered with any other ink, and I do not know if other brands of highlighter would have the same reaction. I take a lot of notes and then highlight key words when reviewing, so this is bothersome. Even so, I am planning to re-order these when the time comes!

Great Ink Flow
Even with minimal pressure on the tip, the ink still flows smoothly without a single skip or the smallest miss. The spring-less assembly of the pen ensures a clear and solid feedback from the tip when it touches and moves on the paper. The translucent, hexagonal-shaped, thin barrel gives me the familiar feeling of a pencil and the convenience of knowing the ink level at any moment. The color of the ink is a majestic blue-black. It is beautiful, and darker than the darkest pencil lead I have had.

My new favorite pen!!!
Got used to gel ink pens and constantly looked for one that fit all of my desires…feel comfortable in hand, won’t run, proper size point (0.5 micro) and boldness of ink! Love the blue/black ink combo! Got comfortable with barrel size at grip and longevity of ink supply is great! Pen is disposable so cost per pen is good.

Favorite Pens
This is the third time I've ordered these pens. They're smooth, with a fine tip and nice color (not quite black, but not vivid blue). Love them!
