What does the nanometer activated carbon made from? Is it so tiny that can leak into the water?

I have no idea what it's made from but it doesn't leak into the water.

How many pitchers per filter? That is more relevant to me than using the 60 day measure.

I use about 6 or 7 a week. But different people will use more or less. I have the large pitcher.
