Little Giant SPRK-2 Sump Pump Diaphragm Switch Repair Kit WITHOUT Casing, Black, 599320

This kit worked perfectly. The pump had been pumping up very often, before it filled. In the end, it stopped pumping up at all. Opening the pressure switch showed that the diaphragm had been stretched, I the switch seemed to be burned out. After installing the o-ring, the switch and diaphragm, the pump began pumping as expected, powering on when nearly full and doing a full pump-out prior to stopping. The pump runs quieter as it is now pumping a full volume rather than partial volumes. Excellent fix.

The pump performed well for almost 27 years with no problems. I had a French drain and sump pump installed as insurance against some unforeseen major problem with a new home. Since I had a high efficiency heater and air conditioner, the condensate pump sent its water to the sump pump area. I also had a dehumidifier in my basement which drained to the sump pump. The pump maybe operated once a day during high humidity months for one cycle of two minutes. It was not needed as a sump pump.,The pump started but did not turn off. I cleaned it, installed this kit and it operates like new. They do not call it the Little Giant for nothing. This is a high quality pump that is still supported almost thirty years later. If I had to buy the entire pump for $300, I would have. Nice to keep it working for $20.

My Little Giant 6-CIA kept running, and wouldn't automatically shut off like it used to. After the local plumber quoted me $875 to replace the pump, I started doing a little research. $150-200 for a new pump or $25 for this repair kit. It arrived quickly, instructions were clear (but tiny) and it requires no special tools. I figured it was worth a shot. Replacing the old parts took less than 30 minutes and the pump is working like it was new. This kit saved me at least $125 bucks and gave me some handyman cred with my family.

Perfect part replacement for my 506168 1/3 HP Little Giant pump. I replace the switch and diaphragm in 2016 and again now in 2023. The pump is original new home installation from 2003. In 2016 I also upgraded with a silent back flow valve, custom cut all the discharge pipe and do not want to mess around replacing the pump. The pump is cast iron, oil cooled, thermally protected from overheating and rated for continuous use. I don't see the need to replace, repair the pressure switch and preventative maintenance for the pressure diaphragm. While I waited for Amazon to deliver I would manually run the pump removing the plug to try and relieve the water surrounding the house. After 2 days the part came and in about 20 minutes the pump was running continuously for 30 minutes. Then the water was low enough that the switch kicked in and out. Very happy and cost effective!

was not sure if it would work right because switch was a bit stiff but seems to be working great so far.

Had to turn the pressure plate slightly to give more leverage to trip the switch. My auxilary pump kept coming on before the main pump. Turning the pressure plate on the main pump fixed the issue.

Worked great my old switch housing was a little differen than the picture info but all the parts fit perfectly took about 10 minutes to put to gether works great. Mine was a whole independent switch sealed. the newer switches seal against the pump housing my pump is over 35 years old still working great. I oreder a new pump from home depot and have it on hand as the old pumps all corroded and looks terrible the new pump has a single cord. the old set up had 2 cords that the pump plug into the switch cord. the new pump is wired right into the switch wiring. the parts are all the same.Works great good pictures good details.

The switch is used on a submersible water pump. really small and seems too frail. One thing it is easy to change.

My pump was not shutting off soon enough. Replacing the switch fixed this.
