For reference, my dog's measurements are--Weight: 11.5 lbs; Chest girth: 15"; Neck girth: 12"; Base of neck to base of tail: 14". The Small fit perfectly! He has a longer body + slightly shorter legs, so I was a bit worried about it not covering enough of his back, but it is a great length.The jacket in size Small measures 12" from the neck / under the collar to the bottom of the jacket; just under 14.5" if you measure the whole length including the collar.He has a sweater on in the picture, which does reach all the way down his back so it pokes out a bit from under the jacket but not by much. It's very simple to put on, though the velcro is LOUD but it's also strong, which is good! The water resistant side is pretty good-- better than I expected-- holding up well against light water without soaking through; unsure how it stands against a downpour or heavy rain but it isn't a raincoat so I'm not expecting it to be totally waterproof. It's a bit thin overall but it is cozy / snug and does seem to help a lot with keeping him warm. The chest portion (between the collar velcro + the belly velcro) is a bit narrow, if that makes sense, but the belly area has a good amount of stretch to it, so it should be able to ideally accomodate a small range of chest sizes. The neck portion is not stretchy but you can adjust where you connect the velcro to best fit your dog. There is a small hole on the back for the harness / leash, though it is not in the right area for my specific harness. The dark red plaid is a nice colour! My only (super minor) complaint so far is the little size tag on the jacket's soft plaid side, but I can just cut it so that's not a big deal either— it just seemed a bit silly to have on a reversible jacket.Overall it's a pretty good little jacket! Hopefully will hold up well during the brutal NE winter but has been great so far this autumn. Definitely *actually measure* your dog instead of going off of weight alone.

This jacket is so cute and super easy to put on. The reversible part is awesome! The material is slightly thin but it’s perfect for chilly nights that aren’t too cold. The bottom of the jacket has a stretchy part to fit his chest and under arms nicely. Super good buy for a great price. My pup is about 50 pounds, tall and thin, the XL size was perfect.

This is such a cute, comfy, and cozy cover up. It fit perfectly and so easy to put on and take off (Velcro!!!)

The media could not be loaded.  The fit: I got this coat in a medium for my 14.5lb mainecoon mix cat. He’s 15” long and 17” chest girth. I debated on the size for awhile but ultimately picked medium because his rain jacket is too short and I wanted this one to be long enough and thought I could sew adjustments if needed on width dimensions. My cat is very large but not particularly overweight so I sewed the under side Velcro over on itself once just at the corners and it fit perfectly! It was way too large without the adjustment and he was stepping through the arm holes and getting stuck and falling over. I ordered some Velcro to tighten up the front as well but it isn’t completely needed at this point. Unless your cat is really long a small would probably be a better fit since there is also a lot of stretch to accommodate a fatter cat.This jacket is impressively built and very warm! I felt underneath it and his body was nice and toasty and we had the longest winter walk we’ve had all year because he wasn’t cold and shivering like he would after awhile without it. My cat is harness trained so he is adjusted to wearing things around his body so we had no issue getting him to wear it. He actually clearly likes it because he knows it’s warm and means he gets to go for a walk. Getting it on is also no problem but again, my cat is very used to getting his harness on.I think the style is absolutely adorable and I like that it’s reversible. The only reason for 4 stars is that it is clearly built for the typical dimensions of a dog and not a cat.

Easy to put on

Duke and Duchess didn't like the idea of wearing jackets at all, to begin with. But within an hour or so, Duke (in red) began to think it wasn't so bad after all. But Duchess wanted nothing to do with it, and will not be convinced. When I turned my head for a quarter of an hour to take care of other business, she wiggled and squirmed and convinced Duke to help her get it off. Do not fool yourself: dogs can open velcro if they really try. But with the amount of tugging and clawing involved, they did tear the quilted side and got quite a lot of the fluff out, which ended up in the velcro. So I'll be buying another soon, but not until she's accepted this one and learned to tolerate it.As to sizing, go according to the chest size, and if you have any doubts about it, go with the larger size. Duchess is near the upper chest measurement for her jacket size, and the fit is very snug. So when I buy the replacement, I'll be getting the next size up, even though her neck is so small that judging only by the neck she'd be two sizes smaller. I may use the torn coat to make her an ascot to help fill in the neckline.I really like so many things about these jackets. The fabric is of good quality, and machine washable. The design covers the chest-belly area but stops short enough that the dog can perform his/her "duty" without soiling it. And the colors are bright and cheerful. The elastic around the belly keeps it close to the dog's body so there's no question of it dragging in the mud--unless the dog decides to indulge in a happy roll in the snow. Well worth the money, and I am pleased to recommend it.

Both fit and quality are outstanding! Size Small fit our 9 pound chihuahua perfectly. Colors are great and fabric just the right weight.

Sizing is way off

I was pleasantly surprised when this jacket arrived given that it was so affordable. It is pretty well made, I love that it is reversible and waterproof on one side, I always use it waterproof side out, the touch of red plaid is so cute that way. It fits my little Maltese/Yorkie Mix perfectly the size charts seems pretty accurate, his chest is 16" and he weighs about 11-12 pounds so I got a Small, it is nice and stretchy around the tummy area and adjustable, pretty easy to get on once you get the hang of it. My favourite part is that his chest and stomach are nice and covered while still giving him enough room so that he can pee freely. Combined with booties I can take him on an hour long walk in snow and very cold weather -18°C with the windchill was no problem and he comes home warm and dry. Basically if I can handle the cold he can too. Can't say enough good things about this Jacket!

Bel cappottino reversibile, taglia L perfetta per il mio cane. Avrei preferito due elastici dietro per le zampe, quando cammina gli sale un po', in effetti è buffo. in generale, funziona e fa il suo lavoro, poi lo rende molto elegante. Adoro le stampe scozzesi!

Very cute jacket. It keeps my dog very warm even in the freezing cold. We have a rescue dog, 70 lb lab. Ordered the coat before we picked up the pup. Ordered a 3XL because we heard she had a chubby midsection (that's why we didn't order a bikini lol) It is a bit too big for her but it will suffice.I have washed it and it held up well. It is easy to take on and off. The velcro is strong. It has a handy opening for a harness clip. I like the fact that it is reversible. She seems very comfortable wearing it and I daresay a bit proud!

Ich bin von dem Regenmantel total begeistert!Er passt meinem 5 Monate alten Maltipoo Welpen (2,8 kg) perfekt.Das wichtigste ist, dass er den Mantel akzeptiert und nicht regungslos stehenbleibt.... mein Welpe bewegt sich mit diesem Mantel ganz normal und läuft, als ob er ihn nicht an hätte.Ich dachte zunächst, es wären 2 Mäntel...das ist, aufgrund der Produktbilder etwas verwirrend.Ich bin zufrieden, Hund ist glücklich und bleibt bei Regen trocken.Klare Kaufempfehlung!

The media could not be loaded.  I have a 18 month old Working Cocker Spaniel she is on the small side and trying to find a jacket that fits her is really hard. She has the length of a cocker but not the girth. The jacket is very easy to put on. When I do, I have to twist the belly strap a couple of times before attaching the velcro to the sides. This is not a problem and does not hinder her walking or running. I love the tartan look. The black puffer side is great too but trying to spot a chocolate Cocker in a forest at dusk is not as easy. I wear her harness over it as it's easier to clip her lead on. She has been wearing this jacket this during the winter here in Scotland and it does keep her neck and back dry and warm. She loves to roll in the snow with one shake the snow comes off the jacket and does not stick. The jacket drys quickly when you pop it on the radiator. It washes well and hold its shape. I have one very happy stylish Working Cocker.
