Extra length for young riders with short arms
I bought this for my riding trainer as I noticed what’s she was working with her younger students that the standards reins were a little short. The durability and quality of Weaver products never disappoints. The youngster likes the bright colors. Very comfortable as the reins is not to thin.

Great roper reins!
Super long for our welsh/morgan cross but nice for trail riding to let graze in open areas.

Great Weight and Feel
Was a little concerned that these wouldn't be heavy enough for my preference, but was pleased to fine that they have a great weight to them. They're soft, glide easily when needed, and the color is very nice and vibrant. The leather at the end does need to be oiled before use, it's unoiled Latigo. Easy fix since I was already untying the strings to pull the clips off anyway. They do come with clips that aren't in my photo, I don't like metal clips on my bits so I removed them.

These reins are gorgeous as well as soft. Luxury at a bargain.
These reins are a high quality at a surprisingly low price for how beautiful they are. The length is wonderful. I ride a 13.2 hand Paso Fino up and down hills on trail rides. The length of these reins allows my horse to stretch his neck while going down hills without me having to lean forward or stretch my arm down his neck. It also works great for having him drink at a stream. I am thrilled with this purchase!

Perfect!
My husband got me these for Christmas and I LOVE THEM. I have had SEVERAL different types of reins over the years and these are "the ones". Swivel snaps so they don't get twisted, the right weight so they are heavy enough that ur hand doesn't have to be tuff, but light enough to swing freely and not put undo pressure on the horses mouth or face. Perfect diameter... fits in your hand like a lead rope. They are smooth, no burrs and no rope burn if ur horse gives u a sudden jerk, yet not too smooth that u can't get a grip on them. I love them, I'll never use anything else. O.. and he did great on the color choosing, I got the teal and brown. Like most horsey gals, I'm a sucker for that teal!!!! :)

Don’t get them wet..
I bought these reins to use for endurance and competitive trails. I’ve had to ride a couple of times now in the rain and every single time these reins get wet, they become incredibly stiff and very rough on my hands. After this last endurance ride, I took a look at the rein ends seen in the photo and the material is coming apart where they’re connected. I’m concerned about using them much longer as my primary reins given the wear on them at the connections for such a short period of time. I have had these for about 2mo and used them a total of maybe 10x and this is what they look like. Not happy on the longevity side.

Failed at worse possible time
The bamboo part of the reins is good. The leather is rotten and snapped at the worst possible time. The horse was acting up; I pulled and the rein leather snapped. I was thrown and the horse bolted. I have only ridden with them 3 or 4 times. I will replace the leather with better. Failed at the worst possible time. AND YET ANOTHER reason to be unhappy with these reins. If they get wet, they turn very stiff and you can't soften them back up.
