This lure!!
I was throwing regular square bills and small soft bait to no avail. FIRST cast with this lure and boom! Caught a small rock bass. If you’re having a slow day, throw this lure. It gets their attention.

Can’t beat Rapala
Love finding these on sale at Amazon! Best lure brand imo and always have consistent action. Color is based on conditions but always a great size.

Still working after 30 years
I bought my first Rapala shallow shad rap over 30 years ago. When I was fishing waters just a few feet deep this thing was and continues to be deadly. There is a plethora of new crank baits on the market now, and I have a bunch of them, but this little guy continues to be a go-to my tacklebox. Just about everywhere I go there’s some kind of silver and black bait fish, and when I throw this thing, I almost always hook up. I still have my original, from all those years ago, and the finish is slightly dulled from all the scratches of largemouth bass teeth.

Excellent Winter Crankbait
The Shad Rap 05 and Shallow Shad Rap 05 are steady producers when larger crank baits just are not working. When retrieved very slowly, both are excellent winter cranking lures for bass with water temperature in the 40s. During pre-spawn with water temperature in the 50s, crank them over and through shallow weeds, pausing for an instant to let them slowly rise a bit when hitting cover, and bass strike them hard. I've caught largemouth bass weighing up to 5 pounds on these slim profile, 2 inch lures. Be sure to use a spinning outfit since they are very light, weighing a mere 3/16 of an ounce.

Shallow shad is awesome
Nice solid crank bait. It was a nice depth dive, it dove very fast to its depth as advertised. Overall id buy again heck ive bought a few i suggest you go pick up some asap!
