I'm using this little hotplate a lot. The most important thing is that it's not getting too hot underneath so I can leave it on the counter top while cooking. It heats up and cools down quickly. One important thing is to turn off at the mains or better, unplug. It will start/keep warming even at "0"

Initially there was a tonne of smoke when I first plugged it in but that seemed to dissipate and hasn’t happened since the first use so I’m assuming that was some sort of enamel on the heating element that has now evaporated.I had reservations as it has an exposed coil which I thought would make the entire thing too hot to touch when in use and that it would take ages to cool down after use. But it cools down really quickly once you switch it off and remove the pot, so you can cook with it and disassemble your cooking station within 5 minutes of switching it off.I tested it by making a caramel fudge sauce which is notoriously difficult even on a flame hob, as you need to constantly monitor and change the temperature to avoid burning.It’s not as hot as a flame obviously and can be a bit slow when switching heat settings but overall good value for money.

This product is dangerously bad when I try to plug in the socket it explodes why amazon let this product sell it without quality control?

Been using for 6 months most days. Hoping it's going to be more durable than the other type of solid ring I had before. Brilliant for the money.

Our induction hod is faulty so had to be disconnected by the electrician. Still under guarantee but a two week wait for an engineer to attend. We bought this in order to be able to cook our meals. It takes some time to heat up but works really well, definitely a good stand by.
