What features make this lenspen specific for vr/ar lenses compared to other lenspen models that are priced much lower?

Our new LensPen for VR / AR lenses has a redeveloped carbon formula that uses our original black carbon cleaning compound with some new improvements. We have redesigned the pen so that it is a rubberized soft touch for better feel and grip. We have also completed additional testing with this pen to make sure that it can be used on plastic lenses which we did not recommend with previous versions.

Would this be okay to use on plastic lenses like sunglasses?

Yes the pen can be used on any high quality lens. We do not recommend using it on cheaper plastics just because we do not know what they are made of. If you are looking for a product specifically for sunglasses please check out Peeps by CarbonKlean - designed to clean both sides of the lens at the same time.

is this approved by the makers of the oculus?

Hi there - while we have tested the VR Pen on most available VR Headsets, including the Oculus, we are independent from Oculus. Our product has been tested and is approved for use on any VR Headset and other fine optics. We have been approved by and work with brands such as Nikon and Canon for more than 20 years.
