It works, but what it does isn’t awesome.
So yes, you can fill it with BBs or nerf ammo and they’ll go scattering around, mostly in one direction. You won’t know what direction that’ll be because you’re throwing it. The spoon and pin part of it are mostly for show. The pin will fall out as if it was made of water. It’s trying to become lost. The spoon opens and exposes the weight used to actually trigger the latch inside, but… closing the spoon does not prevent the weight from triggering. The spoon is also not sprung so, even in your most elaborate LARP you’re going to have to assist the little booger into action. Have fun with it. Spray paint it awesome, but have realistic expectations.

Does not hold up
The media could not be loaded. Use this a couple times and it already broke. Not impressed. Save your money and get something else

Not that great
My son wanted this for Xmas. It’s cool looking but it really isn’t all that impressive when it opens. The nerf balls barely go anywhere and it’s very hard to load

Frag out!
My 9 yo is obsessed with all types of military gear. Had to have this reusable grenade. Very sturdy and easy for him to use. The bright colored ammunition makes it easy to recover once the grenade "goes off".

This is a great play toy for my son who has every nerf gun they make…. It’s a bit tricky to lock down but fun for him.

Great toy for 10 yr old
This is a great toy for kids 10 and up, you have to make sure you have the rubber balls to put in the chamber. My grandson loves this and we play all the time. Great Buy!!!
