Camera is a great value but caveats
Much like the headline states it's a great value but there are always pros/cons and I hope you appreciate an honest review. The value; the camera comes in a plastic housing with the microphone grille in the back and the front has a wide open sensor for the camera with the ring LED and the touch sensor for the three brightness settings which is nifty. In addition you get a three-pronged adjustable tripod via screw in the bottom of the female thread of the angled adjustable laptop/monitor stand it has.Camera quality is decent, it says 1080p but I figure with the price it's seems in between 720p and 1080p, must be the camera sensor quality. The three adjustable ring LED is great however because of the design it creates a ring LED effect on reflected images/videos on the subject. The microphone works, it doesn't have any fancy bells and whistles like background noise cancelling and a lot of noise when I recorded a quick 15 second video. The auto-focus, it's decent. It focuses as close as roughly 6 inches and much better on faces than the provided images like Pokemon cards which may be a deal breaker for some if you want to see the finer detail at a closer view.Supported platforms; the listing says it works for PC/Windows and it in fact does. Even better is that it works for ChromeOS for Chromebooks which isn't listed but it does, if anyone was wondering. I'm currently using it right now which is great for Discord calls/Zoom meetings. The built-in camera on my girlfriend's camera was so horrible and I saw this among many other inexpensive webcams.I'm pretty happy with my purchase and would recommend this to a friend/family member that would need something with a low budget.

Great little web cam with ring light, plug and play, easy to use
I bought this web cam when I found out I had to do zoom meetings for school. My desktop computer didn’t have a built in camera so I decided to buy one.I chose this one because the price was reasonable, it appeared as if many people had had success with it, and it had a built in ring light. I have really bad lighting in the room and no room on my small desk for a lamp so the fact that the camera had lighting was really helpful. The light has three modes which are activated simply by touch, very convenient. The best part about it is that this camera plugs and plays. No driver needed and no installation. I just plugged the usb into the computer, started a meeting on zoom and the camera was working great.I’m using a headset with a mic so if you do make sure that you switch the microphone input to either your headset’s mic or the camera’s mic because the camera does have a microphone as well. The video and picture quality is not bad for the price and suits my needs just fine. The camera clips on to the top of my screen and is easily adjustable so you can have it directed the way you want with a little bit of finagling. There’s also a small indicator light that tells you when the camera is on.Overall, this was a good purchase and I believe great for anyone who is looking for a good little camera for school or casual purposes.

Excellent camera for the cost
Starting a new remote job I needed a camera for telecommuting. I wanted a nicer one so I didn't look like a Picasso painting, but I also didn't want to spend a lot of money. After an hour or so of review, the CASECUBE seemed like the best value for the money, and the reviews were right.Build quality - 4/5The camera is a little light which may make it feel flimsy, but this helps it hold on top of your monitor even with desk shaking. I've been using this for nearly two weeks and not once has the camera shifted or slipped. The light is fairly bright, though I rarely use it, the camera swivels 180 degrees and has some limited up and down shifting, and it even comes with a tiny tripod, which was an unexpected, but welcome, addition. My only exception is the lack of a camera cover, though swiveling it to face the wall serves the same purpose.Ease of use - 5/5Plug and play is quite literal here, I plugged it into my computer and it was immediately recognized and utilized by the camera app. The only potential sticking point here is the lack of advanced features due to no camera software, but since that wasn't what I was looking for it exceeded my expectations.Picture quality: 4/5This is the point where I was expecting to be disappointed. Every camera and their grandmother claims to be high definition; I was expecting either a low resolution, low framerate, or both. But this camera does have a very nice quality. I couldn't say if it actually is 1080p, but the picture is very clear and there is no stutter or lag. There doesn't seem to be any auto-focus, harking back to the lack of camera software, but the subject does always seem to be in focus.

Excellent Lighting, Sharp Picture, Great Value
I purchased this to replace my old Microsoft webcam, which had a hard time with both bright light and low light situations. I also needed a 360-degree swivel, as I am often showing things in the studio other than my face. The Casecube is one of the few quality cams in this price range with swivel and lighting functions - and it works well.Since my office/studio is next to a large sliding glass door, I had trouble with my old webcam controlling the light, even when the shades were down. And at night, I couldn't get enough light to produce a decent picture. This camera has no problems adjusting to any lighting condition from super bright to whatever your low-light situation is, thanks to the three-level light ring. The picture is sharp and the setup super-easy.One thing missing is a lens cover. I remedied that by providing any snoopers with a smiling Spongebob taped to the inside of a small plastic container. <see photos>
