Nice knife
It's really nice looking. Got it for my wife for Christmas. She loved it.

With a few modifications it’s perfect.
The stylized blade by the guard is cool but dangerous. The sheath is well made but not well made for this knife. There’s wobble room. The razor sharp piece by the hilt can slice you open pretty badly in the sheath or out. I took a file and knocked it down so there’s no way it can hurt ya. The shank is not one piece. The handle is sturdy and beautiful. The blade holds its edge very nicely. I use it to cut meat and in the garden. It is a wonderful knife. But only if you know how to be respectful of its nature. If you’re getting it for decoration, there’s not a better knife out there. For a costume it’s hella dangerous. For work in the kitchen it’s great, in the yard, only if you’re pruning non woody stems or herbs.

Quality of blade to be determined
I was disappointed with the handle like others have pointed out ! If you are going to use this knife in the field you are looking at an hour or more fixing the handle. If it is a wall hanger you are good to go . Like others have pointed out the brass spacers in between the bone handle material are raised and cut into you hand. So in order to make the knife useable you must tape up the bone and then file down the high spots of the spacers to make the whole handle smooth!!What a waste of my time !! The knife was not sharp out of the box , but as a wall hanger good enough.I spent another 40 minutes bringing the blade to an acceptable sharpness. It is yet to be seen how long it will hold an edge !!The description said it had a full tang but I was again disappointed when I discovered it was a rat tail tang.I hope it holds up under some heavy use as a chopper, I bought it to do work in the field we will see. I could have bought a cheaper version, but since they claimed it was handmade I expected a higher quality knife. If the blade holds up I will recommend : with the above work by the buyer required !Update: this knife is a beast in the field; you can chop your way through just about anything!! Because of the angle of the knifes blade it will not slice paper, but will hold its own chopping through heavy brush and small trees. If the manufacturer would have paid a little more attention to the handle construction this knife would have rated an easy 5 stars ! But it is what it is !!!

The handle on the knife is poorly manufactured
The blade itself seemed OK I have not broke it however the handle pinches my hand every single time I use it they did not put it together properly or the handle is just garbage

Good blades bad handles.
Bought two different blades. Blades held up very well, but handles broke on second use on both.

This Damascus is the real deal.
What a beautiful pattern in this Damascus. It's a very balanced knife. It's Viking made, or it feels heavy enough to be. This is a chopper. One of the better knives in my collection. 6 Stars. Great knife.
